She announced the news on Instagram by posting the initial pictures of her enormous diamond engagement ring to her 422 million fans, accompanied by the caption: “Now forever starts.

And it has now been revealed the stunning ring could be worth upwards of £800,000 ($1 million).

Laura Taylor, a specialist jeweler from Lorel Diamonds shared with TopMob that Benny selected an exceptionally elegant and enduring design for Selena’s engagement ring, which beautifully complements her personal style.

At the heart of this ring lies a spectacular marquise-shaped diamond, approximately 8 carats in weight, surrounded by a dazzling pavé band crafted from yellow gold.

‘The marquise cut, characterized by its extended and pointed figure, is a bold decision, recognized for its sparkle and ability to make fingers appear longer, resulting in a captivating and sophisticated appearance.’

The marquise-cut diamond design originated during the 18th century, with its creation being inspired by King Louis XV of France. He wanted a diamond shape that mirrored the enchanting smile of his beloved mistress, Madame de Pompadour.

Laura noted: ‘The pave setting, featuring a continuous line of smaller diamonds tightly packed, provides an additional shine and opulence, elegantly enhancing the main marquis diamond.

This arrangement showcases the brightness and elegance of the entire layout, preserving an air of refinement throughout.

The main diamond seems exceptionally fine, boasting VVS1 transparency and a color rating within the D-F spectrum. Given its details, I’d roughly value this ring at more than 800,000 pounds, which is equivalent to over one million U.S. dollars. However, the exact worth may vary based on the specific diamond characteristics.

In her announcement picture, she displayed her new ring while posing for the camera with her partner, who was 36-year-old Blanco, wrapping an arm around her and planting a kiss on her head.

It appears that the renowned music producer, Blanco, proposed marriage during a romantic evening picnic, which was accentuated with Taco Bell.

The beloved pair was showered with affection by notable celebrities like Cardi B, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Taylor Swift, who is a close friend of Gomez.

Swift — who has been friends with Gomez since 2008 — offered to be the couple’s ‘flower girl.’   

Blanco himself also left a cheeky comment in which he referred to Gomez as his ‘wife.’

‘hey wait… that’s my wife,’ wrote the musician, who earned nearly 150,000 ‘likes.’

Since June 2023, Gomez has been in a relationship with Blanco. However, it wasn’t until December of the same year that she publicly confirmed their romantic involvement.

At that moment, she employed Instagram as a platform to inform her followers about her six-month long secret relationship with the hitmaker, emphasizing that he was her “complete everything.

In the past, the artist known as Wolves had romantic connections with The Weeknd, Zedd, Nick Jonas, Taylor Lautner, and was rumored to be involved with several others like Zayn Malik and Andrew Taggart from The Chainsmokers.

Stoking the rumors, the gossip platform DeuxMoi posted an anonymous tip suggesting that Gomez got engaged during the past weekend, surrounded by friends at their regular beachside gathering spot earlier in the month.

It appears that Gomez put an end to the speculation as she was spotted out in public only a few days later, noticeably without a wedding ring.

Before their planned meeting on Wednesday, it has been openly mentioned by both Gomez and Blanco that they might get married.

Previously, Gomez disclosed her intention to adopt a child on her own if she hadn’t found the right partner before turning 35 years old.

Selena shared, “For the past five years, I’ve been on my own, but now I find comfort in solitude.” She added that initially, she struggled with loneliness for about two years, but eventually embraced her solitary existence.

She mentioned that if she hadn’t found someone by the age of 35, her intention was to adopt instead.

Gomez’s decision to adopt is rooted in her inability to bear children due to health issues, primarily her struggle with the persistent illness Lupus.
