Sunrise host Natalie Barr screams over shocking surprise hidden beneath a sheet: 'What the hell is that?!'

As an ardent fan of Sunrise and Natalie Barr, I must say that Thursday’s morning show was nothing short of electrifying! The surprise gift reveal had me on the edge of my seat, just like I am every morning when tuning into this dynamic duo. The contortionist performance was a jaw-dropping spectacle that truly showcased human flexibility at its finest.

On Thursday morning’s Sunrise, Natalie Barr let out a startled yelp as she received an unexpected and astonishing surprise during the live broadcast.

On the breakfast show, the 56-year-old host, who is part of the team, received an extravagant vacation present from his fellow host Matt ‘Shirvo’ Shirvington. The gift was concealed under a cloth and adorned with a bow on a nearby table.

Yet, upon removing the crimson velvet drape revealing her secret, Nat let out a bloodcurdling scream when she discovered a flexible artist, all twisted up, hidden underneath it instead.

46-year-old Shirvo started the festivities by chuckling while making a quip: “It seems like we should peek inside Santa’s baggage now.

Later, he pointed towards the large red-covered object on the table that resembled a box, saying enthusiastically, “Give it a try! I couldn’t be more pleased with this.

‘That sounded really weird,’ Nat laughed. ‘I have no idea what this is.’

Just before tugging the blanket away, Shirvo advised her softly, “Handle it carefully.” This made her wonder if anyone was underneath.

‘No, what are you talking about?’ Shirvo said.

However, when Nat tore away the sheet, she uncovered what appeared to be a person contorted into a human pretzel. Startled, she exclaimed, “Goodness gracious! What on earth is that?

Shirvo remarked, ‘It’s a person,’ as the flexible performer unraveled their limbs, preparing for an astonishing showcase of agility.

‘It’s what?’ Nat cried. ‘Oh my, God. Oh, sugar. Oh wow. Oh my, God. It is a person.’

After Nat brought up the lively discussions surrounding Australia Day, he urged the government to consider whether or not they should continue celebrating it.

As a devoted follower, I’ve been keeping tabs on Australian Venue Co, which manages over 200 pubs nationwide. They’ve expressed feelings of sadness and pain that the January 26 public holiday brings to many of their patrons. In light of this, they’ve chosen not to celebrate Australia Day this year.

In an interview with Senator Murray Watt on Monday morning, Nat expressed a familiar sentiment, saying, ‘It seems we’re facing this situation once more. Year after year, this is how it goes,’ before inquiring about his stance regarding the pub company’s recent action.

It appears that the cultural battles kick off sooner each year. And here we are barely into January, yet they’ve already started, as Senator Watt pointed out.

Each business has the freedom to determine their own course of action. However, it’s worth noting that this specific company has chosen not to organize Australia Day celebrations. Nevertheless, there are numerous other locations across the country where such events will take place.

As a lifestyle guide, I choose not to dictate the choices of businesses or their clients. Instead, each entity is empowered to decide their own path, and customers are free to determine their destinations based on their preferences.

However, Nat showed no satisfaction with the response given, instead urging the government to decisively take action on the issue at hand, immediately if possible.

Is it necessary for each business to decide this matter independently? Shouldn’t there be a regulation instead? Each year, we find ourselves frustrated by the ongoing debate.

Senator Watt firmly restated his stance and cautioned Nat about potential violations of individual liberties, as the government might be overstepping boundaries by dictating how pub owners should operate.

Each year, I find myself embroiled in the same old disagreement, and here we are again, debating just as the holidays approach. It truly feels exhausting to continue this cycle.

However, unlike a regime in North Korea, our government doesn’t intend to mandate specific actions for public houses; instead, they allow for autonomy in decision-making.

We won’t establish a government that dictates specific day-of-the-week rules for pubs regarding their operations.

As an ardent admirer, I’m sharing this news: Bungalow8, Cargo, Kingsley’s Woolloomooloo, Parkside Hotel in Sydney, and several iconic venues in Melbourne like the Esplanade Hotel, Prince of Wales, Duke of Wellington, and Garden State Hotel have decided to stand against Australia Day. They are joining the movement to boycott this national holiday, reflecting a growing sentiment of change and understanding.

In addition, the Claremont Hotel, Bassendean Hotels in Perth, The Regatta Hotel, Boundary Hotel, and the Fridays bar on the riverfront in Brisbane, as well as the Parkside Hotel and the Colonist in Adelaide, will also choose to forgo celebrations.
