Skeleton Crew speculation: Who sent Wendle to the “Jedi Temple?”
As a seasoned Star Wars enthusiast with a penchant for unraveling intergalactic mysteries, I must say that the latest addition to the saga, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, has certainly piqued my curiosity. The world of At Attin is nothing short of intriguing, a place where even Area 51 looks like a playground.
If you’ve watched “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew”, you might be puzzled about the mysterious world of At Attin. It’s so meticulously maintained that even El Dorado and Area 51 appear like neighborhood playgrounds in comparison. Despite its pristine appearance, avoiding a shortcut is necessary to keep your hands clean. School authorities and community regulations ensure everything runs smoothly. However, when Wim wanders off into the woods and embarks on an interstellar journey, his father, Wendle, wastes no time searching the woods for him.
But why? How did Wendle know where to go? And who is the Supervisor?
Wim mentioned his father holds a Systems Coordinator role, while Wendle has been occupied with a Supervisor’s evaluation for the past week. When Wim fails to complete his assessment, Wendle highlights that he was called away from the review to address an issue related to discipline. It appears that Wendle occupies a fairly high-ranking position in the organization. As Undersecretary Fara expressed the need for more Analysts, a Coordinator role suggests a position of influence, and such roles are not easy to find.
I find it interesting that Wendle’s home life doesn’t seem to play a significant role in the story. It could be due to a childlike perspective where things are seen as either black or white, but there are hints suggesting that his father is always at work. For instance, in the early part of episode 1, he works late for the Supervisor throughout the entire week. Furthermore, what piques my curiosity even more is the lack of insight into the circumstances that led him to the forest “Jedi temple.
In response to Wim’s trespass, Wendle acts just as swiftly and diligently as the security droids who monitor for rule-breakers. However, I don’t believe the situations are so straightforward. Both instances seem to be driven by a sense of urgency to prevent children from exploring beyond the society established in Att Attin.
Within the confines of Attin lies a world isolated from the galaxy, shielded both by the impenetrable Barrier and the rigid structure of its society. The exact reach of this seclusion remains to be uncovered as we delve deeper into future episodes.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is streaming on Disney+.
