BBC’s The Wheel gets schedule shake up ahead of final episode

As a seasoned gamer of life with a penchant for all things comedy, I must say that the news about the schedule change for The Wheel has left me both surprised and intrigued. The fact that they’ve decided to air Michael McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-up Special instead of the usual slot is indeed an unexpected twist, but as a fan of his humor, I can’t complain!

BBC series The Wheel is getting a schedule shake-up ahead of the upcoming season finale.

The fifth season of the Michael McIntyre show is nearing its conclusion, but contrary to initial plans, the final episode won’t be shown this coming Saturday (December 14). Instead, it will be aired the following weekend on December 21 at 8:25 PM.

This weekend, the broadcaster has officially announced that the 8.35pm time slot will feature a fresh special titled “Michael McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-up Special” – airing his performance known as “Macnificent“.

“Michael McIntyre commemorates 25 years of stand-up comedy by recording his newest global hit show, Macnificent, which has been sold out everywhere.

Recorded at the renowned London Palladium, this comedy show is packed with Michael’s amusing insights into daily life. It’s an unforgettable night of laughter as he commemorates a significant landmark in his career.

Previously, Toby, the victor of last year’s show The Wheel, who happens to be blind, shared how the program accommodated him. He praised the BBC, stating they were exceptionally supportive and helpful.

He shared on TikTok that many people have questioned him about how the BBC facilitated his experience more smoothly during the show. In reality, he praised them highly, saying they were truly exceptional in their accommodations.

Initially, a new team member was hired as my guide for the day, both behind and in front of the camera setup. I was given the chance to familiarize myself with the set beforehand. Additionally, they graciously permitted my girlfriend to accompany me, ensuring I felt secure throughout the experience. What thoughtful people!

Besides praising McIntyre as “incredible,” he further noted that: “He repeated every question for clarity, ensured I knew the locations of all celebrities and their associated topics, and humorously explained the action happening while the spinning wheel made its round. Quite amusing, really.

Previously, it was announced that the American adaptation of The Wheel was terminated by NBC following just one season.

On this coming Saturday, December 14, you can catch Michael McIntyre’s 25th year stand-up special on BBC One at 8:35 PM.
