Kris Marshall‘s revelation about filming not just the third season but also next year’s Christmas special leaves me feeling one Christmas ahead – and that’s a wonderful sensation indeed!

Actor Kris Marshall from the series “Beyond Paradise” recently disclosed some thrilling news about the production, stating that they’ve already wrapped up filming for a crucial installment of the show.

The spin-off series of “Death in Paradise,” featuring our beloved Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman, is set to make a comeback for a 2024 Christmas special. Interestingly, the actor portraying DI Goodman has hinted that not only is the third season already filmed, but so is the 2024 Christmas special as well!

He shared that the filming for Christmas 2025 has already been completed. So in essence, he is currently a Christmas ahead. They wrapped up production just last week, on a Friday.

Inquired about filming season 3, Marshall responded: “I filmed that too… I might have accidentally revealed a spoiler I wasn’t supposed to.

He then joked: “There are murders in series three. There’s another spoiler!”

The second installment of the series “Beyond Paradise” concluded in April, followed quickly by confirmations for its third season and a 2024 holiday special.

Back then, Tim Key, our executive producer, expressed that the reception for season two was simply phenomenal. There’s a tremendous amount of care put into crafting this series, and it warms our hearts to see that viewers have appreciated it so deeply.

We’re eagerly anticipating another Christmas special and continuation of the story in Shipton Abbott! Expect laughter, tears, and even more laughter as we throw in some clever riddles to keep you guessing. Oh, and don’t forget about our feathered friend – there will definitely be a duck involved.

In August, hints about certain cases from season 3 were shared. These included a corpse found in a river, a puzzling case of chocolate box poisoning, a longstanding agricultural dispute, and an occurrence involving the spiking of something.

The episodes will depict Humphrey and Martha facing unforeseen challenges in their role as foster parents, and furthermore, Martha’s past love interest, Archie Hughes, is set to reappear.
