Coleen Rooney reveals she had no trouble settling into jungle life thanks to the humble job she had as a teenager

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Coleen Rooney‘s resilience and adaptability in facing the challenges of the jungle life are truly commendable. Her humble beginnings as a teenager working at Pontins holiday park have undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping her character.

Coleen Rooney shares that she effortlessly adjusted to jungle living, attributing it to the part-time job she held prior to her rise to stardom during her teenage years.

In this year’s competition, the contestant aged 38 reached the finals, ultimately ending up as the runner-up behind McFly member Danny Jones.

Inquired about her strategies for managing without luxuries in the camp, Coleen responded by drawing a comparison to her past experience of cleaning apartments at Pontins during her youthful years.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, she stated: “Although I enjoy life’s comforts, I am not a princess. My campmates seemed taken aback that I remained unfazed by living in the outdoors.

As a child, I didn’t go camping very often, but I did spend time cleaning apartments at a Pontins holiday park.

She adds: ‘Going to the dunny [camp lavatory] doesn’t bother me, I’ve gone behind a tree before. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty, I’ve got four boys, we’ve been in situations where we’ve got dirty.

“I visit places like ponds and muddy paths. Nothing about it bothered me, and if I had all the time in the world, I could have lingered there for multiple weeks.

Certainly, Colleen assumed a significant portion of household responsibilities to compensate for not being able to care for her sons directly. She put it simply, “It’s just what I do every day – picking up after others and getting things done.

‘I fear the task won’t be completed unless I handle it myself. Relinquishing control over others’ tasks proved challenging. At times, tasks were left unattended due to people taking longer than expected. Yet, the urge to step in and assist was strong, but we faced consequences for doing so.’

Upon emerging from the forest, she promptly called her husband via FaceTime. He expressed his immense pride, she shared. In the letter he’d sent while in camp, he confessed that he’d never felt more homesick than he did at this moment.

It seems clear to me that our lack of recent conversations is due to the fact that we’ve been separated for extended periods these past weeks. Typically, we chat multiple times daily and video call frequently. Not having this ongoing communication has proved challenging for me.

Instead of moving elsewhere, Wayne chose to stay in the U.K., where he continues to oversee his football club, Plymouth Argyle, located in Devon. Meanwhile, their older sons, Kai (aged 15) and Klay (aged 11), also stayed put at home.

It proved more challenging for them to leave school due to their advanced age; the situation required more gravitas. In light of this, we opted to retain them within the educational institution.

However, they mentioned they wouldn’t be attending school the next day as their mother is competing in a final. I’m unsure how the school will react to this situation. Since they traveled such a distance to Australia, perhaps they are entitled to a day off.

‘The little ones, it’s easier. They’ve brought work away with them.’

Wayne additionally shared with his wife that they had organized a watching event for the finale specifically for her, inviting their dearest relatives and friends, at their grand Cheshire residence valued at around £20million.

Currently, Coleen has rejoined her mom, dad, and her two younger brothers for their journey back to the United Kingdom. This reunion is taking place in anticipation of reuniting with the rest of the family before celebrating Christmas together.

The mom of four arranged for Christmas, completed all her purchases ahead of time, so she could come back feeling secure knowing that everything was prepared.

Regarding the upcoming period, she expresses her desire to savor Christmas, an occasion I’m eagerly anticipating as well. Once the festivities are over, we’ll pick up where we left off in the New Year. In January, she plans to meet with her team to discuss and decide on her future plans.

Based on her impressive victory on I’m A Celebrity, ITV might be eagerly anticipating that the show could potentially be a part of her future career aspirations.
