Katie Price reveals the very important reason why she no longer shares snaps of her children Jett and Bunny
As someone who has walked the same path as Katie Price, albeit with a few less paved stones and more potholes, I can understand her decision to limit the public exposure of her youngest children, Jett and Bunny. The world of social media and celebrity can be a double-edged sword – it’s a platform for connection and self-expression, but also a breeding ground for negativity and trolling.
As a devoted follower, I’ve found myself reflecting on Katie Price’s recent disclosure about why she now abstains from posting photos of her kids, Jett and Bunny. It seems that her primary concern is to protect their privacy and uphold their well-being as much as possible in the public eye.
46-year-old former model, who was once in the limelight, has a son named Jett (age 11) and a daughter called Bunny (age 10), both of whom she shares with ex-husband Kieran Hayler. Apart from them, she is also the mother of Harvey (age 22), who was born from her relationship with former footballer Dwight York, as well as Junior (age 19) and Princess (age 17), who were born during her marriage to Peter Andre.
On her social media platforms, Katie often posts pictures of Harvey, Junior, and Princess, but noticeably reduces the number of images featuring her two younger kids.
In an interview for magician James Phelan’s How To Be Famous podcast, Katie shared that her first-born kids, Harvey, Junior, and Princess, have always been under the public eye since they appeared on her reality program during their childhood years.
She mentioned that they’ve grown accustomed to handling media scrutiny, saying, “They handle the media quite well.
‘But I don’t even do pictures with [Jett and Bunny].’
Katie clarified that her younger kids have a different situation now compared to her older three, when asked why they don’t seem as keen on being in the limelight.
She added: ‘During the time when Junior and Princess were young, we didn’t have social media platforms like today; instead, we relied on newspapers and magazines.’
They’re accustomed to it being that way, while Jett and Bunny navigate the social media sphere, which can often be harsh due to cyberbullying, making their experiences distinct.
The television figure went on saying, “I no longer display their photos as they’ve started school, and I prefer them to develop their unique identities. Everything is changing now.
I generally avoid participating in reality shows, and if given another chance, I’d say yes because I believe it could be even more intriguing now than it has ever been.
Previously, it was criticized that Katie allowed her minor child, Bunny, to operate a YouTube channel, contrary to the rule that requires users to be at least 13 and have adult supervision.
In March, the former glamour model found herself in disagreement with her ex-husband Kieran Hayler regarding the use of social media by their kids, Bunny and Jett.
In response to Bunny sharing multiple videos online in November, Kieran questioned Katie, expressing his concern about the lack of parental supervision and child safety measures.
Previously, Bunny was prohibited from using TikTok because they were considered a minor. TikTok enforces a firm policy that users must be at least 13 years old to access the platform.
YouTube maintains that it prohibits kids younger than 13 from establishing their individual channels or accounts. For those aged 13 to 17, the platform requires parental consent before they can create an account.
On her channel, with commenting disabled, Bunny posts videos of herself lip-synching and dancing while interacting with fans, as there’s no room for comments.
Additionally, she shared a video demonstrating her skincare regimen. It seemed that the skincare cream she used was generously provided by a company.
According to a source, they shared with The Sun, “I was utterly amazed upon seeing it. It appears that Kieran and Katie have been in conflict regarding Bunny’s social media for several months now, yet it seems that Katie remains unconcerned.
‘Bunny shows off her bedroom with clothes and litter everywhere and make-up smeared over the house.
‘I don’t know why Katie doesn’t delete it.’
Earlier, Kieran expressed his concern that social media platforms can be harmful for young or sensitive kids.
He mentioned that his former spouse frequently voices concerns about their kids’ safety due to abduction warnings, yet she allows them to communicate with strangers on social networking platforms.
During the course of their eight-year union from 2013 to 2021, Katie and Kieran brought Bunny and Jett into their family.
