At the start of the trailer’s opening moments, a frightened Mari dashes through the forest as her pursuers follow close behind. Could it be that she will be the next victim consumed in the 1996 timeline? This season, the survivors find themselves in an even more desperate situation following their shelter’s destruction in the season 2 finale. The clock keeps ticking, and the already scarce food resources have become even more scarce.

They haven’t offered up one of their own for a ritual sacrifice since Javi, so it wouldn’t be unusual if they resorted to cannibalism again. With Mari fleeing through the forest and others pursuing her, it certainly seems like they have initiated another sacrificial ritual. As you might remember from past seasons, once an individual has been chosen for sacrifice, they are then hunted by the rest of the group. It’s possible that Mari is running away from something else in the woods. We can’t wait to see what happens next!

Dead Jackie seemingly returns

It seemed to me that the Jackie storyline had concluded at the end of the previous season, but based on the season 3 teaser, this may not be the case. In a brief moment from the trailer, it appears that older Shauna experiences a vision of deceased Jackie within a freezer. Given that teen Shauna never fully moved past Jackie’s death, it is understandable why she continues to be haunted by her in the current timeline.

Is it possible that Jackie could be providing some guidance regarding all the current events? I quite enjoyed the character of Jackie, and I’m thrilled to see the actress who plays her returning in some form during this new season.

Taissa’s hallucinations are back

In the 1996 timeline, all characters were impacted by their wilderness experiences, but it seems that Taissa and Lottie were hit hardest. Currently, grown-up Taissa grapples with sleepwalking, paranoia, and recurring visions. The teaser trailer hints at Taissa hallucinating a tall, eyeless man while she’s kissing Van in an alleyway. Who is this figure, and why does Taissa keep seeing him?

Misty grabs a knife and seemingly tries to harm Shauna

In the 1996 timeline and now, I’d say it’s Misty who everyone needs to keep an eye on. She’s the one who got us all stranded in the wilderness back then, you know? And here’s the thing – it’s hard to tell if she’s friend or foe, or what her true intentions are. Just when I think she’s being a decent person, she does something that leaves me scratching my head.

In the trailer for season 3 of “Yellowjackets”, it seems that an older Misty might be attempting to stab Shauna. It’s a mystery why she would do such a thing, as both actions and intentions of characters in the series are often unpredictable. So, we can add this intriguing scene to the list of Misty’s questionable behavior.

A survivor appears to be eaten alive

In our previous conversation, we discussed Mari running from a group in the forest. A new scene from the trailer reveals Shauna appearing to bite into someone else’s hand violently, as if trying to consume them. The victim seems to be either Mari or Lottie, given that the character in the trailer has black hair and both Mari and Lottie have this hair color in the 1996 timeline. If not Mari, then it might be Lottie being bitten.

Shauna is seemingly pulled underwater

In a brief snippet from the trailer, young Shauna is seen standing in water, looking startled at something below the surface. Although we know that in 1996, Shauna survives, we’re wondering what transpires during this scene. Will she suffer severe injuries? Who will rescue her in this perilous situation?

Hilary Swank’s character sees something shocking in the road

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but get excited about Hilary Swank joining the cast of “Yellowjackets” for its third season! The latest teaser trailer has left us all intrigued as to what her character will contribute to this new chapter. Intriguingly, at the end of the trailer, her character is shown seemingly stranded and injured on a road. As she stands there in disbelief, something causes her to utter “Oh, sh*t” before fleeing. It’s left us wondering, what exactly does she see that leaves her so stunned? Is this a glimpse of the past or the present? Alas, we’ll have to tune into season 3 to discover the answers to these tantalizing questions!
