Coleen Rooney makes final jibe at WAG rival Rebekah Vardy as she finishes runner-up on I’m A Celebrity
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the drama between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy is a modern-day spectacle that rivals even the most captivating soap operas. The Wagatha Christie saga has been an unpredictable rollercoaster ride since its inception, and it’s fascinating to see how both women have navigated through this high-profile feud.
Coleen Rooney made a veiled jibe at Rebekah Vardy during Sunday’s final of I’m A Celebrity.
Before coming in second, the 38-year-old Woman’s Adventure (WAG) conversed with Ant and Dec regarding her jungle experience, promptly veering into discussions about her detective abilities.
Coleen Rooney, popularly known as “Wagatha Christie”, traced the source of stories about her that appeared in The Sun newspaper back to… Rebekah Vardy’s social media accounts.
During the last round, Declan Donnelly pondered about her detective abilities, saying: “We attempted to deceive you with a couple of minor tactics, but you somehow managed to catch our scent every time… she’s consistently staying one move ahead.
Ant McPartlin added: ‘She’s good at this… have you always had that instinct?’
With a hint of knowingness in her grin, Colleen subtly referred to her nickname, the “Queen of Mystery” (Wagatha Christie), by saying, “Oh yes, I do. I have a knack for detecting things.
Raising her eyebrows, she continued: Yeah, I can weigh people up well…’
In the jungle, Colleen noticed that Danny Jones had fabricated seeing a koala as a ruse to divert their attention while he was engaged in a covert operation.
Initially, it was the mother of four who figured out that Maura Higgins, Reverend Richard Coles, and Dean McCullough had been deceiving about their circumstances, claiming to live in poor conditions in The Junkyard.
After encountering the three, Dean swiftly brought up her well-known alias, saying excitedly, “Here comes Miss Marple once more!
For over five years now, I’ve been enthralled by the Wagatha Christie saga – a bizarre, hard-to-ignore, and addictive legal drama that gripped the entire nation.
scarcely anyone would have foreseen that a dispute sparked by a solitary Instagram post could have evolved into one of the most remarkable celebrity stories of this century.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I found myself embroiled in a libel dispute with Coleen back in the day, all stemming from allegations that I was dishing out stories to the media. However, things took an interesting turn when, in 2022, a judge ruled that there was substantial truth to her claims.
In simpler terms, this decision doesn’t mark the end of the ongoing legal battle reminiscent of Jarndyce v Jarndyce (a lengthy lawsuit from Charles Dickens). The ongoing dispute over legal fees, known as ‘WAG War II’, has led to another win for Coleen.
Recently, Rebekah chose to challenge the requirement that she pays Coleen approximately £1.8 million for her legal expenses.
Lawyers representing the women contested in the High Court regarding the amount of costs Rebekah should cover following a lost libel case in 2022, and it has been announced that her legal team intends to contest the judge’s decision as well.
During a span of three days in court, attorneys representing Rebekah, the spouse of Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy, contended that the penalty should be lowered because they claimed there was significant unprofessionalism on the part of Coleen’s legal team.
However, Senior Costs Judge Andrew Gordon-Saker ruled, narrowly tipping the scale in favor of Coleen’s legal team, stating they did not engage in misconduct. Consequently, he deemed it inappropriate to lower the amount Rebekah is required to pay.
According to court records, it’s been revealed that Rebekah has initiated an appeal process, a fact that her legal representatives at Kingsley Napley have acknowledged pertains to the decision regarding misconduct.
The frosty competition between Rebekah and Coleen doesn’t seem to be melting away anytime soon. In fact, Rebekah has been making critical comments concerning her old companion, particularly focusing on their shared experience in the Jungle.
Ever since Colleen stepped into the jungle, Rebekah hasn’t hidden her opinions about her rival, labeling her as ‘uninteresting’, and expressing a desire for her to consume a bull’s organ (penis).
Additionally, Rebekah mentioned that her fellow contestant, Coleen, seemed to have an easier time during their stay at the I’m A Celebrity camp, contrasting with her own experience on the ITV program.
The celebrity mentioned that the cast was receiving lavish amenities prematurely in the current season, emphasizing that she scarcely had access to food during her initial week in the camp.
She stated that this year’s participants seem to be enjoying the show much more easily than I did during my time on it. In fact, we barely received any food for the initial week, and luxury items like home comforts were completely out of the question back then.
I don’t mind these individuals receiving their comforts prematurely, as they’re crucial in the jungle to sustain oneself. However, ITV doesn’t seem to be pushing them hard for it. The grumpy campmates create the most interesting television.
Ultimately, it appeared that Coleen got the final say since she placed second during the live finale.
In comparison, Rebekah was the third campmate to be voted out of her season in 2017.
