As a dedicated fan who has followed Gino D’Acampo’s career for years, I must admit I am saddened by the recent news of his alleged misconduct and the subsequent fallout with ITV. Having grown up watching his entertaining cooking shows, it was always a delight to see him bring humor and passion into our homes.
It seems that Gino D’Acampo might be gradually stepping back from ITV, following allegations of inappropriate behavior.
It appears that the Italian chef chose not to agree to a morality clause in his contract, which led to him being quietly removed from Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip.
According to reports from The Sun, the well-known television personality, who is currently 48 years old, has been enrolled in a language and conduct training program by worried production officials.
On his show Emission Impossible with Fred Sirieix, it’s been claimed that Gino joked inappropriately by exposing himself to fellow crew members. It was also reported that these crew members were given the option of seeking counseling.
As a devoted admirer putting it in my own words: “I’ve heard through the grapevine that although Gino is adored by some, he’s had his fair share of disagreements with others. He’s known for loving a good time and, unfortunately, declined to include a morality clause in his contract that would have kept him on the right path. This decision was the last nail in the coffin, leading to the mutual agreement to end our association.
On the set of Mission Impossible, he became quite difficult and uncooperative. After an unfortunate incident on set, the crew was provided with counseling services as they experienced significant distress from the aftermath.

‘Filming was halted and Gino was put on a training course.’
The source clarified that Gino carries a pouch, known as a sporran attached to a Scottish kilt, which he nicknames ‘Justin Beaver’ and often displays openly.
TopMob have contacted Gino’s and ITV representatives for comment.
According to a representative for ITV, they clarified their stance post the findings of their KC Review last year. They stated, “We’re fully dedicated to fostering an atmosphere where every individual is respected and feels empowered to perform at their best.
In any situation where a concern or complaint arises, we commit to thoroughly investigating the matter. If our investigation uncovers any inappropriate actions, we will promptly take corrective steps to address the issue.
As a passionate advocate, I’m committed to nurturing an environment where I consistently strive to empower my junior counterparts, encouraging them to voice their ideas and concerns without fear. This journey of growth and learning is ours, and I am dedicated to fostering an atmosphere that embraces open communication and mutual respect.
After examining our policies, we’ve emphasized our requirements once more and provided Conduct and Professional Standards Guidelines for On-Screen Personalities. These guidelines detail the conduct we expect from them regarding behavior. Previously, we have also offered language and behavior training, either directly or through our third-party producers when necessary.
‘We also outline our expectations to third party producers of commissioned programmes, to ensure they have in place appropriate procedures that comply with our Code of Conduct with a view to effectively safeguarding contributors and production staff.’

Gino is due on air next year for a series of Family Fortunes which has already been filmed.
In November, while returning to the UK following a filming session with Gordon and Fred, cannabis was found in Gino’s luggage by trained detection dogs.
It is said that Gino received a warning, and the next day, he phoned Gordon and Fred to clarify that he had been using it (the substance) to alleviate his chronic back pain. They also mentioned that Gino was freed by the police without any problems.
It’s said that both Gordon and Fred felt strongly upset over the circumstance, especially since Gordon has consistently expressed his opposition to drug use.
In March 2023, the star was right smack in the middle of concerns raised by staff who felt uneasy about his conduct towards them during that time.
According to the Mail on Sunday’s report, it is said that the team members involved in Gordon, Gino & Fred: Road Trip have expressed their worries to the show’s producers.
According to one source, some individuals who collaborate with him have expressed discomfort with his behavior, not only during filming but also at additional gatherings like wrap parties.
The news came after Gino announced his decision to leave the program, explaining that he wishes to avoid any potential strain on his friendships with his fellow cast members due to difficult negotiations over contracts.
Despite the grievances not being deemed as influencing his choice to depart following four seasons, these issues have been acknowledged by the management team at Studio Ramsay, the firm established by Gordon Ramsay responsible for the production of the show.
According to a source within the show, it’s common knowledge among production teams, talent, and network executives about Gino’s behavior. This topic tends to be widely talked about in the industry, which isn’t particularly favorable.
Yesterday, when given a chance to address the allegations, the three-time father D’Acampo remained silent. However, someone on set acknowledged that these issues might stem from different generations and that D’Acampo considers himself a lively, jovial Italian fellow. (108 words)
They mentioned that Gino tends to have a traditional outlook, and sometimes he might find his humor amusing, but people who are a bit younger than him may perceive things differently.
In my fervent fandom, I can’t help but notice a stirring divide between generations unfolding on our screens. It seems like some moments make us squirm, yet it’s this very tension – the clash between the millennials and the older generation – that’s captivating audiences today.
