On Friday, a spokesperson for Heard didn’t respond promptly when The Times asked for further comments.
In 2021, when her daughter was born, the 38-year-old actress took to Instagram to share that four years earlier, she had chosen to become a mother “under my own control.
She expressed that it’s remarkably transformative for us as women to ponder such a crucial aspect of our lives in this manner. She wishes for a day when choosing not to have a wedding ring doesn’t stand out, yet having a crib does, which she now cherishes as the start of her new life.
In 2015, it was announced that Amber Heard had married Johnny Depp. However, she filed for divorce from the main star of “Pirates of the Caribbean” little over a year later. The divorce proceedings were concluded in 2017.
Ever since then, the ex-pair has experienced two court cases – one in London and another in Virginia – both stemming from conflicting allegations of abuse within their relationship. Following a Virginia verdict that sided with Depp in the summer of 2022, they reached an agreement in December. According to previous reports by The Times, it was Depp’s insurance company that had to compensate him $1 million as part of the settlement.

In the dueling defamation trials, where Johnny Depp emerged victorious, some people considered the verdict as a setback for the #MeToo movement and suggested that it underscores a growing skepticism and disdain towards Amber Heard.
Throughout the court proceedings, when Heard faced persistent online harassment, she voiced her wish to avoid the continued ordeal of the legal battle, referring to it as a form of torment.
She expressed her desire for fresh beginnings in her life. With a newborn child, she longed to start anew, and she hoped that her former spouse would follow suit as well.
Following the December 2022 agreement, as she had expressed a desire for, Heard moved overseas, choosing to concentrate on her role as a mother.
Last year, a source close to Heard shared with People that the trial was incredibly distressing for her, and she desired a new beginning. This person further mentioned that she currently possesses renewed vigor and is dedicating herself to passions she cherishes.
After her international relocation, Heard has primarily avoided the limelight, with exceptions made only for promoting “Aquaman 2” on Instagram recently.
