Justin Baldoni attorney dances on Blake Lively’s grave with gleeful statement after sexual harassment claims were dismissed

The lawyer representing Justin Baldoni has publicly commented for the first time about their recent victory in the legal case involving Blake Lively.

Judge Lewis Liman dismissed ten of the thirteen sexual harassment claims made by Lively against Baldoni, related to their 2024 film, It Ends With Us. The ruling came on Thursday.

The actress had three concerns about her co-star’s behavior during filming. He unexpectedly kissed her during a scene, walked in on her while she was nursing, and showed her a graphic video of his wife’s childbirth.

On Friday, Bryan Freedman, the lawyer representing Baldoni, said he was pleased with the judge’s decision, according to TMZ.

From the very start of this case, when Justin and the other defendants were unexpectedly accused, our legal team has worked tirelessly to defend them. We’ve done this by being open and honest – sharing the actual text messages and fully cooperating with the release of all relevant documents to show the truth, according to Freedman.

As a lifestyle strategist, I often see situations where people shy away from difficult conversations. But in this case, the legal team made a very deliberate choice: they weren’t just going to tell the truth, they were going to demonstrate it, repeatedly, with solid proof. It was all about backing up their claims with evidence, and making sure the facts spoke for themselves.

Justin Baldoni, Jamey Heath, and all the other people accused have not sexually harassed Blake Lively.

He stated that regardless of accusations against his clients – specifically, the tactic of denying wrongdoing, attacking the accuser, and reversing the roles of victim and offender – and despite being labeled a predator in written correspondence, his initial statement, and everything he’s said since, remains truthful.

Our clients are individuals of good character and deny the allegations of sexual harassment. They deserve, and received, a strong legal defense built on open communication and honesty.

The lawyer concluded by saying he was pleased the court agreed with his team’s original assessment of the case.

Alexandra Shapiro and Jonathan Bach, lawyers for Justin Baldoni, stated they were pleased the court dismissed all claims of sexual harassment and all claims against Justin Baldoni, Jamey Heath, Steve Sarowitz, Melissa Nathan, and Jennifer Abel, according to The Daily Mail.

These were significant claims, and we appreciate the Court’s thorough examination of the evidence, legal arguments, and facts presented.

Now that the case has been greatly reduced, we’re eager to present our side and address the remaining issues in court.

The trial is still set to begin on May 18th in New York City, but Lively’s legal position has become significantly weaker.

Lively’s attorney Sigrid McCawley also spoke to The Daily Mail.

According to McCawley, this case centers on the severe repercussions and extreme measures the defendants took to harm Blake Lively’s reputation after she advocated for improved safety on set, and that is the core issue being presented at trial.

Blake Lively believes the most satisfying outcome is that those responsible for the online attacks have been identified and are now facing consequences from the women they previously harmed.

She’s eager to share her experience in court and help expose this harmful type of online harassment, making it simpler to identify and stop.

Okay, so after all that legal stuff, it basically means Blake Lively still has three things she’s fighting for. She’s claiming they broke their agreement with her, that they got back at her for something, and that someone helped them retaliate against her. It’s not much, but she’s still going after them, and I’m so proud of her for standing up for herself! I’m following this so closely, it’s insane!

The recent updates in this case follow a year-long and ongoing legal dispute between Lively and Baldoni.

In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment, unfair retaliation, and causing intentional emotional distress.

The actress filed a lawsuit claiming that Baldoni sexually harassed her, made demeaning comments about her appearance, and tried to ruin her career by spreading false information about her.

In her legal complaint, Lively identified several people who worked with Baldoni, such as his production company Wayfarer Studios, its CEO and main investor, and the team handling publicity.

Baldoni first sought $250 million from The New York Times, alleging a published report damaged his reputation. He then combined this claim with a $400 million lawsuit he originally filed in January.

While ‘It Ends with Us’ made $148 million at the U.S. box office and $350 million worldwide, recent allegations involving the film’s actors have drawn more attention than its initial success.

The film featured Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Brandon Sklenar, and Kevin McKidd, and was adapted from Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel.

The movie’s story focused on the unhealthy relationship between Lily Bloom, portrayed by Blake Lively, and Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin Baldoni.
