It’s been reported that Mariah Carey has been maintaining her diva image by requesting elaborate requirements for her Christmas Time concert, with insiders suggesting she’s going above and beyond, or in other words, “she’s really pulling out all the stops.
55-year-old music legend continues her tradition of holiday tours, nearly three decades since the debut of her timeless Christmas hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” further solidifying her position as the monarch of the yuletide season.
It’s become customary for those in her inner circle to avoid interacting with Mariah, meaning they’ve been requested not to engage with her or take pictures, and it’s said that she has specified she won’t start the tour with any dancers she finds unappealing.
According to a source, Mariah is really going all out this year. She’s earning a significant sum of money and rehearsals began in late September to ensure her upcoming tour is the most spectacular one yet.
One of her demands was that her primary backup dancers should all be attractive males. She preferred not to have any less-appealing dancers.

Sources believe she managed to secure a paycheck in the ‘millions’ for the 21-date tour.
The renowned artist known for creating fantasy worlds announced her tour in August, coinciding with global celebrations marking the 30-year milestone of her enduring holiday song and first holiday album release.
The celebrity has earned an astounding $70 million from their popular Christmas song, which has topped charts in more than 30 nations, roughly equating to about $3 million annually, as reported by the New York Post.
Due to the consistent prosperity of the track, Mariah, with a 20% share in royalties, has wholeheartedly immersed herself into everything associated with Christmas.
Every year, fans eagerly anticipate November 1st, as that’s when she usually reveals her significant announcement: ‘Now it’s time!’
Ever since then, every Christmas season kicks off with a fervor within me, as her iconic tune starts its ascension up the music charts all over again.
Speaking about the beloved track in 2020, Mariah admitted it was ‘kind of an accident.’

In a 2023 conversation with Parade, the artist subsequently disclosed the backstory of her most prominent single – a piece she co-wrote with 66-year-old Brazilian composer Walter Afanasieff – detailing its origins.
She reminisced, “I began composing it using a small synthesizer, either a DX7 or Casio, which was located in a small room in the house where I resided in Upstate New York long ago.
At that moment, she expressed that she was simply jotting down all thoughts related to Christmas that sparked a festive feeling within her, hoping to share those joyful reminders with others.
Although many claim that the melody was penned in just a quarter of an hour, Mariah clarified that the actual recording process was not as effortless.
She admitted that we spent a considerable amount of time on the recording, as you’d notice if you listened closely to the background vocals and other details, it can’t be done quickly within just five minutes.
‘It’s literally impossible unless you had three choirs.’
On November 6, the singer launched her most recent tour in Highland, California – a place where she currently shares custody of her 13-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with her former husband Nick Cannon.
The last performance is scheduled for December 17 in Brooklyn, where the singer is usually accompanied by some special guest artists – even her own children join her on stage sometimes.
Mariah’s setlist is rounded out with 26 songs and the concert is around 90 minutes-long.
