S Club star Jo O’Meara reveals her ‘sexuality’ as she ‘comes out’ during night out with bandmate Jon Lee

I can’t help but feel a deep sense of sadness and admiration when reflecting upon Paul Cattermole’s life. As a member of S Club 7, he was a part of a group that brought joy to countless fans worldwide, but his journey after leaving the spotlight is truly inspiring.

S Club star Jo O’Meara revealed her ‘sexuality’ during a boozy night out with her bandmate Jon Lee.

In a humorous Instagram post, the 45-year-old singer revealed to her 41-year-old friend that she had recently disclosed something personal about herself in a comedic video.

In the clip, Jon said: ‘Jo, you’ve just come out recently.’

To which she replied: ‘I have come out.’

He asked: ‘What’s your sexuality at the minute?’

She responded: ‘I’m Autosexual,’ before bursting into laughter and asking: ‘What does it mean Jon?’

He said: ‘It means you’re a w***er because you find yourself more attractive than anyone else.’

The band S Club has been carrying on its performances without Hannah Spearritt, who is now 43 and left the group last year after the tragic passing of their dear bandmate Paul Cattermole.

Back in 1998, the music group S Club 7 came together, consisting of members Jo, Jon, Rachel Stevens (now 46), Tina Barrett (also 47), and Bradley McIntosh (at 42). This talented ensemble enjoyed a series of massive successes from 1999 to 2003.

They had four number one singles including Don’t Stop Movin’ and Never Had A Dream Come True.

As a lifestyle connoisseur reflecting on the poignant events of April 6, 2023, I find myself grappling with the untimely passing of our beloved band member at the tender age of 46. This heartbreaking incident occurred merely two months after we enthusiastically shared plans for a long-awaited reunion tour – a tour that never came to fruition. The void left by his absence is profound, and our hearts go out to his family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.

As a devoted fan, I chose to honor our beloved Paul by dedicating our tour to him and renaming it “The Good Times Tour.” This was a gesture of respect for his iconic song, “Good Times,” which graced the tracks of our third album.

Recently, Rachel shared that touring with the group after Paul’s passing has served as a healing experience for her.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share the astonishing transformation of our beloved Hannah. Contrary to my dreams of witnessing her on stage during the tour, she’s opted for a radical shift. Rather than joining the band, she has embarked on an extraordinary journey, leaving everything behind to settle in the lush paradise of Costa Rica. Here, she’s chosen to live harmoniously with nature, cultivating a life off the land.

I regret to share that I recently learned about the untimely passing of Paul, who succumbed to heart complications, albeit not immediately apparent at first. Fortunately, there was no need for an inquest into his death, as it was clear that he passed away naturally due to underlying cardiac issues.

His body was discovered in his ground floor flat in Wareham, Dorset, devastating his bandmates and fans.

After leaving his former group in 2002 and taking up tarot card reading as a profession, Paul was observed recently at a nearby park, reportedly in high spirits.

I, as a dedicated follower, am here to share the news: Mr. Cattermole passed away due to natural causes, and our thorough investigation has been completed. Since his demise was a result of natural causes, there will be no inquest held.

It was reported that Hannah, his former girlfriend and fellow S Club 7 member, was deeply affected when she learned about the news.

Following his death, the band rebranded as S Club as Hannah pulled out of the tour a month later.

At the given moment, she disclosed that she was experiencing severe panic attacks (often referred to as “crippling”), which led to her decision to leave the tour. Furthermore, she discussed how her health had taken a toll during that period.

His family and S Club released a joint statement announcing his sad passing.

We regretfully share the unfortunate news that our dear brother and son, Paul Cattermole, passed away suddenly.

Yesterday, the 6th of April 2023, I sadly discovered that Paul had passed away at his residence in Dorset. The authorities confirmed his demise later in the day.

At this time, we don’t know what led to the person’s demise, but Dorset Police has assured us that there was nothing suspicious about the situation.

‘Paul’s family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time.’

At the time the band paid tribute to Paul on social media.

Beside a black-and-white picture of him during the band’s peak years, they expressed: ‘We’re deeply heartbroken by Paul’s demise. No words can capture the profound sorrow and emptiness we experience. We feel incredibly fortunate to have known him and cherish the wonderful memories we made together.’

‘He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us.’

In the year 2002, Paul left S Club 7 and subsequently found employment as a tarot card interpreter due to financial difficulties that he encountered.

He reinvented himself as a ‘spiritual psychic detective’, earning money by charging £39.99 for reading on a spiritual website.

2021 saw Paul initiate a YouTube channel titled “Tarot Me This.” Here, he invited enthusiasts to contribute financially and receive a tarot reading as part of his newly adopted profession, which he described as clairvoyance.

Later on, he admitted that he concealed his psychic talents from S Club 7 members out of concern they might think he was ‘unusual’ or ‘strange.’
