As a connoisseur of the macabre and all things eerie, I must say that the upcoming release of “Nosferatu: Eau De Macabre” has me absolutely thrilled! Having grown up watching classic horror films, the original 1922 version of Nosferatu still sends a shiver down my spine. And with Bill Skarsgård taking on the role of Count Orlok, I can only imagine the chills that will run through me when I catch a whiff of this perfume!
One of the highly anticipated movies this year is Robert Eggers’ tribute to the Gothic style reminiscent of “Nosferatu.” In 1922, F.W. Murnau’s silent film left everyone at the cinema spellbound. The vampire, Count Orlok, terrorized a small village by targeting the wife of a local land agent and causing chaos and fear.
To this day, Count Orlok, with his elongated fingers, pointed ears, and wide-open eyes that seem unnaturally gaping, continues to instill a sense of unease. It’s worth noting that Max Schreck, who portrayed the Vampyre, barely blinked at all during the entire film. Remarkably, Bill Skarsgård manages to evoke such terror as the terrifying figure of nightmares that even Lily-Rose Depp and Nicholas Hoult found it challenging to keep their gaze on him while filming.
Introducing “Nosferatu: Eau De Macabre.” Yes, that’s really “the smell of death.”
It seems strange that there’s little discussion about the upcoming OFFICIAL Nosferatu (2024) fragrance collaboration between Heretic Parfum House. Is this information not widely known, or am I missing something?

Wait, what?!
Working together with Focus Features, Heretic Parfum is advertising the Nosferatu fragrance. As per promotional resources, the company is perfectly in line with their usual style and image.
The perfume’s aroma is reminiscent of the movie, immersing the wearer in Count Orlok’s eerie domains. This Eau de macabre initially presents lilac and ambrette seed, followed by a heart of violet, orris root, and the earthy scent of petrichor. The enigmatic base is composed of vegan ambergris and Oud absolute, creating an atmosphere that’s chilly, pale, and transparent. It captures the eerie discomfort of meeting a specter.
Nothing says love like the chill of encountering an apparition.
This love for the dead will cost you too. Each bottle retails for $125 USD. Each 30ml bottle has Count Orlok’s sigil on the cap and the official film’s title on the bottle. Why make silly popcorn buckets when you walk away smelling like creeping death, amirite?
Should your interest be piqued, HereticParfum.com mentions they’re currently encountering “slight shipping hold-ups.” Given the circumstances, it’s understandable, considering the challenges of sourcing and bottling their unique fragrance high up in the Carpathian Mountains. Dealing with Amazon Prime’s demands might not be a walk in the park. (#NotSorryForSayingThat.)
This holiday season, the captivating film “Nosferatu” starring Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, and Willem Dafoe will be gracing theater screens.
