Maiden: Ice Rose Early Analysis

Skill 1: Meditation

Triggers during the first phase of Burst (Burst Stage 1). Impacts the character when their MP is depleted (MP equals 0). The MP recovers by 1, with a maximum capacity of 12. All accumulated MP is expended when using the Burst Skill.

Character: Ice Rose has a basic mechanic where she gains two Mana Points (MP) for each burst she starts with no MP. If she already has MP, this stack will increase by one for every full burst. Her MP can accumulate up to 12 times. However, it’s not advisable to maximize her MP as her skill 2 encourages frequent bursting. But, if you really wanted to, it could lead to substantial damage output at the end of boss fights if the Commander maintains high MP levels throughout.

This technology could prove advantageous if your team has high-powered electric Damage Per Second (DPS) abilities to make up for the potential decrease in Auto Attack DPS from her in the long run.

Maiden: Ice Rose Early Analysis

It takes Maiden around 82s~ + reload time to fully stack her HP buffs.

Skill 2: Blessings Upon You

The ability triggers when your MP is refilled. It boosts the power of all Electric Code allies, excluding yourself. For ten seconds, it increases the damage of your strong element by approximately 41%, and raises your attack by about 21% of your attack power.

Maiden: Ice Rose possesses a unique advantage, similar to no other Nikke, which is an ability to inflict damage on strong elements. This singular trait significantly elevates her importance for solo raids and electric-weak content. Moreover, the Maiden maintains almost constant uptime with her team’s element and attack buff, as it activates after every full burst.

What is damage as strong element?

The usefulness of this feature primarily arises during advanced stages (It’s mainly effective when you have advanced game equipment) and when the Commander possesses a considerable number of Nikkes.

In most cases, it’s advisable to employ a character with increased power when facing a challenging boss or campaign level. This tactic becomes particularly useful in single player raids and union raids. The reason behind this strategy lies in the fact that such characters amplify the overall damage output, making them ideal for tough battles.

(ATK x Buffs x Skill modifiers) x Element Damage = Final Damage

Maiden: Ice Rose Early Analysis

With a high enough elemental damage of 80% or more, an S-tier Damage Per Second character can inflict damage comparable to SS or SSS-tier characters when they have an elemental advantage, provided that the higher tier characters do not have the same advantage.

It isn’t recommended to overload lower-tier characters purely for this reason though.

When Nikke is part of the team, Maiden’s self-attack boost and element enhancement have approximately 40% continuous effectiveness, considering the Commander triggers her burst whenever it’s ready. Notably, Maiden amplifies her own Attack power significantly, similar to Cinderella’s buff, but this boost is based on her maximum Health points.

Max HP to ATK% at level 400 + How it translates to Normal ATK’s

Assume No recycling level bonuses/Affection bond point bonuses/No gear/etc

Defender HP at level 400 is:

2,483,759 HP x 0.032 = 74,512 ATK

Base defender ATK is = 60,212 ATK

Final ATK (without other buffs) = 134,724 ATK

For comparison, level 400 Attacker has = 90,318 ATK

Normal Attack Calculations

Much like Cinderella, the Maiden isn’t swift in her actions due to a delay in charging. Therefore, when set on autoplay, the Maiden launches an attack approximately every 1.36 seconds (0.73x per second) because of these charge delays. Her damage output would be this rate as well.

61.3 x 250% = 153% + 547% (Skill 2 Proc) x 0.73 (Shots per second) = 500% damage per second~

Compared to Cinderella’s high rate of 602% Attack damage per second, the Maiden’s attack has a relatively lower frequency (approximately 80% versus 40%). This means that during auto attacks, the Maiden’s damage will be slightly less than half of what Cinderella deals, mainly due to her higher Health buffs and Health conversion values.

Burst: Diamond Dust

Targets the enemy unit(s) closest to the reticle, dealing damage equivalent to 1372.8% of the attack power (ATK), determined by 10% of the user’s maximum health points (Max HP) at the end of their turn. Continues attacking based on the current mana points (MP).

Her burst hits hard due to how the conversion works.

10% of her final HP boosts her ATK values. This increase is subsequently amplified by her skill modifier (1372%).

let’s say a Nikke has 2,400,000 HP and 60k ATK (around Nikke level 400 defender values)

Maiden Burst values

The maiden’s Health Point (HP) related to attack power has been taken into account, excluding any benefits derived from her skill 2 (buffs from both external and internal HP sources are not included in this calculation).

2,400,000 x 0.10 = 200,000 + 134,000 (ATK)
334,000 x 1372% x 2 (MP stacks) = 9,164,960 DMG

Cinderella Burst Values (Comparison)

In this equation, the damage dealt by Cinderella HP (which we’ll refer to as ATK from now on), considering only external and internal ATK buffs are not included, has been taken into account.

Total DPS

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but appreciate the Maiden’s prowess, especially when it comes to boss battles. Although she only delivers about half the DPS of the mighty Cinderella (Best Boss Killer), her ability to boost other electric Nikkes is nothing to sneeze at.

As a gamer, I’d say, “In most game situations, Ice Rose outperforms Scarlet in terms of personal Damage Per Second (DPS). The exception is when Scarlet can consistently land a ‘core hit,’ which isn’t common. This means Ice Rose is a solid DPS choice, whether we’re talking about content not weak to electricity or not.

Scarlet in Shambles (DPS comparison)

In simpler terms, “Element Neutral Testing” means testing under conditions where the element or environment is kept constant. In this context, “Scarlet” is significantly higher than “Maiden”, and the team involved tends to support Scarlet more than Maiden.

Boss is iron-weak, which is why Crown is dealing more DPS than Scarlet.

Campaign

It’s interesting to note that Maiden is capable of functioning effectively as a boss damage dealer in Campaign, due to her burster having a crosshair-based mechanism, making it the most precise for single-target bursts compared to Nikke’s.

In campaign levels, it’s feasible to save around 4-6 megapixel (MP) stacks, which is equivalent to almost a single powerful Cinderella blast aimed at a single target.

Essentially, whatever the Commander indicates, will be destroyed by the Maiden’s blast. But it’s rare for the Maiden to be useful outside of content focusing on electrical weaknesses. At this moment, there are no elite electrical weak campaign characters like Scarlet or Ein that can boost the Maiden’s performance (Ein is S-rank, but still not optimal).

Fortunately, both Scarlet/Anis: Sparkling Summer and Ein possess adequate Area of Effect (AoE) abilities. These should suffice for handling the majority of electric weakness stages leading up to the boss. Subsequently, Maiden can effortlessly conclude the fight.

Elemental Cope

liter,crown,scarlet,Ein,Maiden: Ice Rose

Instead of using Scarlet/Ein or Liter, consider using Anis: Sparkling Summer and any burst for CDR. Also, hold off on running to the last wave to accumulate more MP so that you can deal massive damage to the boss when needed.

Arena

One of Maiden’s weak points. At most, she takes out one Nikke with her burst. at worst, none

She functions as a defensive character, although this alone might not be sufficient for a Burst III slot, since many of her peers are capable of quickly eliminating entire teams with their powerful burst abilities.

Not expected to be meta, further testing will be done.

Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid

User: Ice Rose currently leads Electric weak raids, working harmoniously with Cinderella squads. User: Moreover, Ice Rose is an excellent supplement to the Electric team, allowing Ein and Cinderella to no longer fight for Sparkling Summer, enabling each of them to have their own distinct teams.

Best in Slot Anomaly Interception Team (Electric)

Cinderella,Rouge,Maiden: Ice Rose,Crown,Ein

Currently, it seems that the strongest team to take on Glass Slippers is as follows: Two powerful characters, backed by Maiden: Ice Rose’s buff. Utilize Ein to shatter the Slippers, followed by an attack from Cinderella and Ein. Save the final attack for Maiden: Ice Rose who should have approximately 11-12 Magic Points remaining.

Anis: “Sparkling Summer isn’t on this list because there’s no forceful enough projectile to shatter the slippers in a single hit, should she replace Ein. However, in theory, she might be a more suitable choice.

Best in Slot Solo Raid Team (Electric)

Cinderella,Rouge,Maiden: Ice Rose,Grave,Attacker

If the Commander doesn’t have an active Ein squad ready, you could substitute “Grave” with “Crown.”

If the position labeled as “Grave” is filled, then the flexible positions “Ludmilla: Winter Owner/Modernia/any MG, Red hood, or Maxwell” can be occupied. If the “Grave” slot remains empty, either “Red hood” or “Maxwell” can fill the flexible positions instead. Both “Red hood” and “Maxwell” are valuable to the team due to their skill in rapidly producing burst damage through repeated sniper shots.

Grave possesses a distinct talent for transforming standard MGs into burst-producing devices, leading to more adaptable and usable positions within Grave squads.

Should healing be required, which is unusual for this team, consider introducing an off-burst healer such as Rapunzel or Alice (Wonderland Bunny) to the lineup.

Element Neutral

Using Maiden: Ice Rose isn’t advised on content that isn’t element-specific, but she can still be effective. She deals more damage than Scarlet without any drawbacks, or comparable/equal damage to Ludmilla: Winter Owner with all critical hits. However, most of her potential buffs don’t take effect in this situation.

Just use Maiden: Ice Rose with your most preferred buffers and DPS’s.

Should you pull?

For veterans and beginners alike, Maiden: Ice Rose excels particularly against stages that are weak against electricity, outperforming Anis: Sparkling Summer in this specific content. However, when it comes to more general use within electric teams, Anis: Sparkling Summer remains a preferred choice due to her buffs not being dependent on the stage being weak against electricity.

In areas not specifically her forte, she inflicts more harm than Scarlet, deals equivalent damage to Ludmilla (Winter’s Keeper), and slightly less than Moderna.

Her only weak spot is arena, but that mode is competitive enough already.

Avoiding her won’t boost your rankings in electric-weak solo raids and even limit your progress in Union raids for experienced players. On the other hand, newcomers might miss out on a powerful DPS unit that is not commonly a Pilgrim and has low chances of being pulled normally or during featured rate ups. This unit is considered a rare seasonal or limited one.

Her skill 2 a lot more utility and takes priority over skill 1. Maiden’s Skill 2 provides a rare Damage as strong element buff to other electric code allies. This alone makes very high value in solo raid and union raid content

Her burst equates to around 40%~ of her damage, Raise when possible.
