I stayed at a Disney Value Resort, and I have some thoughts about it
As a lifelong Disney enthusiast who has seen the Magic Kingdom from every angle, I must admit that my standards are as high as Cinderella’s castle itself. Living just minutes away from all four theme parks, one would think I’d tire of the enchantment, but far from it!
I reside in the charming town of Celebration, Florida, and I must say, I’m utterly smitten with it. We have an enviable proximity to all four Disney World theme parks, a mere 8 minutes away!
We have an incredible apartment. I am blessed in so many ways that I have lost count.
In terms of accommodations, I tend to favor luxury options. I have specific expectations, and I find that many Disney hotels live up to their descriptions.
If you’re not acquainted with the three categories, let me clarify: They’re named Value, Moderate, and Deluxe tiers. Interestingly, I’ve had the pleasure of staying at every Disney resort, and here are my thoughts on them.
Over the holidays at Disney, things are exceptionally bustling. Given my constraints, I had to settle for the All-Star Movies Resort in a last-ditch effort. It turned out to be an unfortunate and less desirable situation.
After just two days, I’m delightfully impressed! I’m an ardent admirer of residing within the property itself. Despite being geographically near the world at large, I find immense joy in dwelling within this protective cocoon. I particularly enjoy hopping on a bus to witness Fantasmic. I also appreciate popping into the quick-service cafeteria for a cup of coffee.
Coffee is my blood type.
For us, the location isn’t a deal breaker. If you are familiar with the Disney map, All-Star Movies is pretty out there. Like Animal Kingdom Lodge out there. It’s a good ride to the parks, an even longer ride to Disney Springs.
This resort boasts excellent theming, but it’s more of a budget-friendly option. The accommodations here are similar to those at a Hooters restaurant – quirky yet not particularly sophisticated. That’s where I would categorize this resort.
