Flora Review and GuideFlora Review and Guide

Overview

  • Continuously heals self and 2 allies (1 on each side)
  • Shields team on special condition
  • Heals all allies and buffs True Damage on burst
  • Rarely used due to being Burst II with 40s cooldown and hard to fit in teams

Newbie/Incomplete Box Section

As a seasoned Arknights player who has been through countless battles and strategic maneuvers, let me tell you about my take on Flora, the adorable Machine Gun Nikke.

As a gamer, I can say that Flora is an intriguing pick for those who specialize in True Damage Burst III Nikkes and Electric Code allies, particularly when it comes to stacking abilities like Cinderella, Exia (Treasure), or Privaty: Unkind Maid. However, outside of the True Damage Nikke squad, her support capabilities are quite limited due to her restricted healing options and conditional shielding.

Basic Information

  • Skill 1: Petunia
  • Skill 2: Iris
  • Burst: Secret Garden
  • Cooldown: 40s
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Burst: II
  • Weapon: MG
  • Class: Supporter
  • Element: Electric
  • Manufacturer: Missilis
  • Squad: Botanic Garden
  • Weapon Name: Natural Garden

Normal ATK information

Flora is a standard Machine Gun soldier, equipped with an ammunition capacity of 300 and a reloading period of 2.5 seconds. Notably, her regular attacks don’t have any special characteristics since she serves as a support unit without any impact from her basic attacks.

Skill 1: Petunia

This ability triggers at the outset of a battle, provided the user remains alive. It benefits the user and two allies from both sides. Continuously over time, it recovers 1% of the caster’s maximum HP every second. The recovery effect can stack up to five times, increasing by 4% each stack.

Slight mistranslation. Floras Skill 1 will stay active for as long as she is alive.

Her continuously heal works similar to Rouges Skill 2, with the exception of Flora being able to be used in position 3. Additionally increases the HP potency of linkes allies by 4×5=20%, leading to a net heal of 1.2% of Floras final Max HP per second. A reference to how the link looks like is shown below.
Increasing stack count of Electric Nikke is good but none of the benefited ones fit in a team with Flora.

Skill 2: Iris

Triggers when an ally’s Health Points (HP) drops below 90% or reaches their maximum HP. Boosts all allies as follows:

Should either of the two linked allies fall under 90% health, Flora provides a protective shield for all allies. Conversely, if any ally reaches maximum health, Flora enhances the True Damage potential of all allies instead. This strategy can be effectively implemented using characters like Grave or Rouge because of their unique HP dynamics.

Burst: Secret Garden

● Impacts all allies, granting each a 10.45% restoration of the caster’s maximum health as their own health points.

Nice emergency heal and hefty True Damage buff for the Nikke that can use it. Scales with final Max HP so using a Burst I that increases the Max HP will also increase the healing from Floras burst.

Campaign

As a fan, I’d say: “I can seamlessly fit into any team that accommodates two Burst II Nikkes because of my 40s cooldown. I offer effective healing for myself and up to two allies outside of my burst, and I also aid Electric Code allies in building buffs more swiftly.

Generalist Team

Flex B1,Ein,Flora,Laplace,Flex B2

To effectively utilize Flora in a team, the Leader should always have a backup Burst II Nikke ready, either with a 20-second or 40-second cooldown. It’s best to use a Burst I CDR character like Liter, Rouge, D: Killer Wife, or similar for optimal burst usage. Additionally, characters capable of generating bursts are essential since Machine Guns lack this ability by default. This can be addressed through the use of a spammable Rocket Launcher or Sniper Rifle.

Cope True Damage Teams

Frima,Ein,Flora,Laplace,Clay

Currently, we’re utilizing the True Damage team at hand, leveraging all True Damage bonuses and damage dealers. However, it’s important to note that due to no built-in Critical Damage Reduction (CDR) among the current True Damage Nikkes, this team won’t benefit from CDR.

Either Frima or Clay could be substituted with a CDR Nikke such as Liter, Dolla, or Helm. If the opponent is weak against Iron, choose Aquamarine. This version maintains the original meaning while making it easier to understand and more conversational in tone.

Note: Frima and Laplace need their favorite item/treasure to properly work in this team.

Shield Spam Team

Liter,Scarlet,Flora,Guillotine,Flex B2

In essence, this team’s strategy hinges on Scarlet and Guillotine losing Health Points (HP) from their Skill 1 abilities to activate Floras Skill 2, which in turn creates a protective shield for all allies. If one of the teammates linked with Nikke (Flora) falls below 90% HP, this effect triggers. The second Flex Burst II can be selected based on preference, but Crown is highly recommended due to its superior performance. A healer like Naga, if set to auto, could nullify the HP drain and thus disrupt the core functionality of this team. However, playing manually allows for any type of healer to be utilized effectively.

True Damage Spam Team

Grave,Flora,Ein,Flex B1,Laplace

A team that primarily utilizes Grave’s ability to lose HP rapidly and then heal back to full, which in turn activates Floras Skill 2 True Damage boost. In this setup, only Grave is employed for burst damage. Any Burst I with Cooldown Reduction (CDR) can be utilized. Preferably, Liter, Rouge, or D: Killer Wife could be the teammates.

Arena

Flora could prove useful in Player versus Player (PvP) scenarios, given her ability to heal and provide shielding when she’s at 90% health. However, since she is a Machine Gun Nikke with minimal high-value buffs, it might be wiser to avoid using her in arena combat if alternative options are available.

Special Interception | Solo Raid | Union Raid

Flora might not offer much advantage for high-level solo or union raids. Yet, she’s quite useful for Commanders who haven’t fully assembled their Nikke rosters. Her healing and shielding abilities can help newer Commanders create more durable teams. However, using her means you need an additional Burst II, which could be more beneficial elsewhere. Essentially, Flora, being a healer, shielder, and buffer (True Damage), works best in True Damage teams but doesn’t excel in other team compositions. So, she can be effectively used in teams that require sustainability.

Strengths

  • Can spam shields with the right team
  • Has a total True Damage buff of 73.36%
  • Brings continuous healing for herself and 2 allies
  • Increases Electric Code Nikke buff stacks

Weaknesses

  • 40s cooldown as Burst II
  • Barely any True Damage Burst III
  • Skill 2 locked behind opposing conditions

Should you Pull?

Flora may be adorable, but it’s not essential to prioritize recruiting her because she tends to struggle fitting into teams and winter banners take precedence. However, you’ll be able to get Flora through the standard recruitment process shortly.
