I’m A Celebrity star Danny Jones’s sister posts hilarious clip poking fun at her brother in the jungle
I find myself deeply moved by Danny Jones’ heartfelt and courageous sharing of his mental health struggles on “I’m A Celebrity.” As a sister who has watched her own brother navigate similar challenges, I can relate to Vix Wright-Jones’ emotional experience. It takes immense bravery to open up about mental health issues, especially for men, and Danny’s vulnerability is truly commendable.
On Tuesday, Danny Jones’s sister, Vix Wright-Jones, playfully made fun of him during his stint as an I’m A Celebrity contestant by sharing a humorous video from the jungle.
40-year-old Vix, much like her well-known sibling who’s also a singer, playfully posted on Instagram a humorous video where she mimicked each member of their group, even the famous McFly band member.
First, Vix examined some artificial ivy, then slipped into a pair of red cargo shorts, a blue blouse, and a brown leather jacket. To complete the ensemble, she donned a traditional Australian hat and carried a black backpack on her back.
Viv assumed various poses, switched her attire, knotted her shirt upfront, and proceeded to strike seductive poses while donning hiking boots and thick socks.
As a die-hard admirer, I couldn’t help but marvel at Vix as she gracefully assumed multiple poses, each one seemingly inspired by the diverse ensembles synonymous with I’m A Celebrity. The one that particularly caught my eye was her donning goggles reminiscent of those daunting trials – a sight to behold indeed!
At some point, the star adopted a look similar to Tulisa, with her hair pulled back into a loose bun and wearing a headband, replacing the feminine boss tattoo that Tulisa has with the words “Vote for Danny” written on her arm instead.
In a playful manner, she experimented with various outfits, shared jokes and giggles while on set, and even staged a humorous scene where she appeared to carry toilet paper to a jungle restroom.
The amusing video was a family production, with Vix’s spouse AJ and one of their sons lounging on the couch while sporting Ant and Dec masks. Meanwhile, Danny’s sibling playfully frolicked about.
VIXX confessed that watching her brother weep during the program had left an emotional impact on her, ever since he joined the competition.
On Wednesday evening, I found myself on the verge of tears as I shared my lifelong struggle with anxiety during our show.
In conversation with a mirror, Vix expressed that it was tough for her to see her brother distressed, wishing she could provide him with solace instead.
‘When I saw him get emotional, it killed me because I just wanted to give him a hug,’ she said.
‘He’s incredibly perceptive when it comes to emotions, and I truly respect his ability to share his struggles with anxiety.’
By openly revealing a personal, sensitive experience on a national stage, many viewers might have found common ground. Therefore, it’s my hope that this shared experience provided some comfort to those going through similar struggles elsewhere.
Danny found himself deeply moved while conversing about his psychological wellbeing with his fellow campers, revealing that he’s been undergoing therapy since he turned 19.
In a deeply touching conversation, Oti found herself moved to tears when she shared that her half-brother, Neo, took his own life. She expressed her belief that Neo might still be alive today if only he had confided in someone about his emotions.
Danny mentioned that his tattoo reads ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy’. He explained this by saying, “I have it as a reminder to myself to stop worrying and work towards being happier instead.
‘I’ve been in therapy since I was 19 for anxiety.’
Danny recalled a moment where he had a panic attack on live TV while being interviewed.
He said: I was freaking out and I couldn’t answer the question that got asked to me. [My] Heartrate goes crazy.’
In response to Jane’s question about whether his anxiety stemmed from childhood or being in a band, he replied, ‘I believe I managed to avoid a great deal.’
As a lifestyle advocate, I wholeheartedly encourage expressing one’s feelings openly. Showing vulnerability takes courage and is deeply admired by others.
Oti added: ‘I think it’s really good that you keep saying people must talk, especially young boys.
“It seems that young males may not communicate as frequently, and unfortunately, their suicide rates are quite high. Therefore, I believe it’s crucial to continue encouraging conversations on this topic.
She went on to say, “My brother took his own life at the age of 16, and I believe if he’d shared his feelings with someone, things might have turned out differently for him.
In our society, people tend to keep their feelings private. While we annually commemorate his birthday, it’s often those closest to him who continue to grapple with the emotional repercussions on a daily basis.
