
As an ardent admirer of the legendary Chris Tarrant, I can’t help but feel a bit melancholic upon hearing the news of his retirement. A career spanning 50 years is nothing short of extraordinary, and it’s hard not to be in awe of such an illustrious journey!
Chris Tarrant has revealed that he’s retired.
As a seasoned lifestyle guide, I’ve been fortunate enough to walk in the shoes of a TV icon who’s graced our screens for an astounding five decades! My latest adventure? Embarking on Extreme Railways, a thrilling six-series journey that unfolded on Channel 5.
Primarily recognized for hosting the ITV kids’ TV program Tiswas from 1974 to 1981, as well as the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? starting in 1998 and continuing until 2014.
Asked if he had retired this week, Chris told The Sun: ‘Yes. I’ve stopped.
It seems that during the lockdown, things began to make more sense for me, and I realized that I had been doing something for about 50 years.
“Actually, money isn’t an issue for me. Therefore, I find myself wondering, what exactly am I continuing to do here?
