Angelina Jolie debuts new bird tattoo on her arm… 6 months after she got one on her chest

As I delve into the captivating world of Angelina Jolie, I find myself deeply moved by her extraordinary life journey. A woman who has transcended the boundaries of acting and become a global icon, she embodies strength, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes.

Angelina Jolie showed off a new, small bird tattoo located on her arm.

On Monday evening, during the 34th Annual Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, a fresh marking of ink was observed.

The black bird was spotted descending with its wings folded, while the drawing on her depicts a bird ascending.

This fresh symbol is positioned above the coordinates that mark the places where her six children were born; she has Maddox (age 23), Pax (age 20), Zahara (age 19), Shiloh (age 18), and the 16-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, who she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt. Over the past eight years, they have been going through a difficult divorce.

The new tattoo was clearly visible on her arm, as she donned a sleeveless, long black dress with high-heeled platforms during her conversation with the media on the red carpet.

During the 77th Annual Tony Awards in June, the actress who played Maria displayed a tattoo of a bird on her chest’s center area while gracing the event with her stylish presence.

In earlier statements, Angelina Jolie mentioned that a few of her kids carry tattoos of birds, each in distinct areas on their bodies.

As in, they don’t all have the bird tattoos on their chest. 

Angelina mentioned to CR Fashion Book that there’s another bird we all share among some of my kids, which holds a special meaning for us,” is one possible way to paraphrase the original statement in a natural and easy-to-read manner.

Actress who played Maleficent, now 49 years old, initially displayed a small tattoo on her chest during a red-carpet event back in June. She was accompanied by her 15-year-old daughter Vivienne on that occasion.

I was absolutely ecstatic when my beloved duo’s Broadway show, “The Outsiders,” swept four significant awards at that special event, with the grandest of them all being the accolade for Best Musical. It was a magical night!

The newest tattoo on her skin seemed to showcase a bird resembling a sparrow, with its wings slightly spread, giving the impression that it was in mid-flight.

Sparrows can carry a special meaning and are known to symbolize freedom, love and also loyalty. 

In simpler terms, Angelina Jolie, currently going through a challenging divorce process with her former husband, Brad Pitt, decided against incorporating vivid elements in her new tattoo design. Instead, she opted for a straightforward black ink design.

In April, during the premiere of The Outsiders in New York City, the actress unveiled a fresh tattoo on her left arm.

In the context of the Broadway musical, the phrase ‘Stay Golden’ might appear in script font. This phrase is spoken by the character Johnny to Ponyboy, encouraging him to remain authentic and faithful to his own nature.

Last summer in August, she first unveiled the enigma of ink on the middle fingers of both hands, a work skillfully crafted by tattoo artist Mr. K.

In that moment, I shared a picture of her hands, yet intentionally obscured the intricate designs by softening the ink of her tattoos. Amazingly, I found myself inking her skin permanently! Can you guess what design now adorns her delicate palm?

As an ardent observer, I joined countless others in trying to decipher the mysterious ink that had surfaced on social media. One individual, expressing their thoughts about a high-profile divorce case, wrote, “Gosh, it’s Brad,” referring to the ongoing legal struggles between him and Pitt.

To begin, I genuinely regret any misconceptions that may have arisen and offer my sincere apologies to @AngelinaJolie, as I understand such circumstances could have caused distress for her. This sentiment was expressed by Mr. K upon revealing his tattoos.

He continued, ‘This tattoo represents two daggers in geometric & abstract way / nothing related to religion or cross #angelinajolie #mrktattoo.’ 

Among Jolie’s diverse collection of tattoos are a Bengal tiger, a cross, Khmer script, and geographical coordinates representing her kids’ locations.

In an interview with Marie Claire UK that took place in 2020, Angelina shared insights about her collection of tattoos.

She excitedly shared, ‘I adore them! They’re like personal artwork on my body,’ she said. ‘It seems natural for someone who frequently wears different personas to want to personally express themselves and what matters to them through permanent marks on their skin.’

This comes after Jolie said she very careful with what she shows her six children.

At the Gotham’s 34th Annual Film Awards on Monday, I gleefully shared with Extra’s Mona Kosar Abdi that my kids perceived me as a fragile woman while filming Maria.

But it turns out that is a very rare thing, added the 49-year-old Oscar-winning actress. 

She expressed great joy at being with them on Maria, and it’s likely they noticed her fear as well, which is noteworthy too, she stated.

It seems unusual for you to show such a high level of vulnerability around your kids, like openly crying or expressing fear, which made them react by becoming more guarded or protective.

Previously, she mentioned that during her painful separation from Pitt, she would cry only when she was by herself, particularly while taking a shower.

Angelina added in her Extra interview that playing Maria Callas allowed her to face her fears.

I used to be extremely anxious about singing and hesitant in general, yet there’s something about it – from an artistic perspective – that I’ve always admired. You see, as artists, we often find value in things that scare us because it’s a unique gift.

She also said, ‘Ever since I was young, I think it’s a real gift to be an artist. 

It’s incredibly fortunate for us to delve into our emotional experiences, in an environment that is secure and populated by other artists, as many individuals often grapple with their feelings and pain on their own. Expressing these emotions isn’t always possible for others, so I’ve always considered ourselves quite blessed.

Jolie also shared what she is most thankful for after Thanksgiving, saying, ‘Health of my family.’
