Red Dead Online December Update Brings Festive Gifts, Bonuses, and Rewards

As an old-timer gamer with a heart full of grit and a thumb calloused from years of trigger-pulling, I must say, the holiday season in Red Dead Online has always been a treat for me. The snowy frontier, the piercing cold, and the promise of rewards make every bite of that frostbitten apple worth it.

Once more, it’s holiday time in Red Dead Online! Prepare for an abundance of presents, bonuses, and rewards waiting for those daring enough to brave the snowy wilderness and its biting cold on the frontier.

In a festive event called “Merry Call to Arms”, you’ll receive double the amount of RDO$, XP, and Gold for guarding decorated settlements. Participate with a persistent group (Persistent Posse) and you’ll get a complimentary San Luis Shore treasure map. Reach Wave 5 and unlock the red Winter Shotgun Coat.

Additionally, you can earn triple RDO$, XP in Naturalist Sample Sales, along with XP for Role XP, as well as triple RDO$ and XP on all Free Roam Missions. Completing a Sample Sale will reward you with a complimentary Ability Card. For a brief period, the Calhoun Boots, Macbay Jacket, Salter Shoes, and Benbow Jacket are back in clothing stores, and there are additional items available for free.

From December onwards, play any time and enjoy a complimentary accessory along with three Prime Beef Joints as a gift. If you manage to hunt a Legendary Animal this month, you’ll receive the Shaffer Chaps as well. From December 10th until January 6th, simply log in and play to obtain the Winter Evans Repeater Variant and have the rank lock removed on the Krampus Shotgun.

If you’re gaming between the 24th to the 30th of December, I’ve got some exciting news! You’ll earn the coveted green Torranca Coat. But wait, there’s more! If you play from the 31st of December to the 6th of January, here’s a special treat: a free Honor Reset, an Emote, and a Weight Loss Tonic! And let me tell you, that’s not all.
