Michelle Young won’t be able to call herself a ‘Bachelorette’ for much longer. 

Previously crowned as the Bachelorette at 31 years old, who parted ways with her fiancé Nayte Olukoya in June 2022, now finds herself with a new partner whom she has consented to marry.

27-year-old Jack Leius, Young’s boyfriend and VP of sales at Covert Edge Athletics, devised an intricate scheme to take her by surprise with a proposal reminiscent of a heartwarming scene from a romantic movie.

The first thing he did was ‘hire’ her for a commercial to be shot at Centennial Lakes in Edina, Minnesota. ‘I was really excited when I found out I had the opportunity to shoot with one of my favorite brands for the second time,’ the influencer told People. 

As it transpired, everything was just a clever scheme orchestrated by her partner. Indeed, he had fabricated a sham contract intended for her signing and penned a script for a bogus advertisement.

The executive organized a professional styling session for Young’s hair and makeup prior to the photo session, ensuring she looked flawless on camera.

Upon reaching the location, the television celebrity was taken aback as her partner, Jack, stood there amidst a breathtaking array of white roses. “I was momentarily speechless upon seeing Jack standing beneath an enchanting tunnel of white roses,” the reality TV star shared with the press.

Initially, I was tricked so profoundly that it crossed my mind for a brief instant that the jest might have been about Jack being one of the male models who would be part of the photo shoot where I’d be working.

As an ardent enthusiast, I, who pride myself on my knack for uncovering hidden gems, was utterly astounded to find myself utterly duped this time around.

She recalls questioning Leius, “What brings you here? Could it be that you’re another model? Shouldn’t you be attending a meeting instead?

In a swift response, Leius pulled out something from his pocket, knelt down, and posed the significant query.

She mentioned that her instincts have been remarkably keen, allowing her to foresee unexpected events from afar, a trait that dates back to her childhood. Yet, she had not the slightest inkling that it would happen today, as she spoke about the October 23 proposal.

The sports apparel executive presented his lady love with a 3.56-carat emerald-cut diamond that he designed with Wedding Day Diamonds. 

‘I tried to say yes several times but was in shock that no words really came out. 

‘There were a lot of happy tears and of course I said YES!’ she explained.

For Leius, the biggest stress was trying to keep Young in the dark until the big moment.

My main concern was that her instincts seemed to grasp everything. There were numerous instances where we interacted, fearing she might figure it out.

He collaborated with Young’s group on executing the crucial event. In an interview with the press, he shared that both his team and he are quite pleased about successfully pulling off the surprise, and they have a number of amusing anecdotes regarding the numerous details required to make the whole day appear genuine.

Was the strategy so effective that Young questioned whether another day on set would be necessary for filming, due to its success.
