Big roster changes in Rocket League: RLCS 2025 Split 1

As someone who has been following Rocket League esports for quite some time now, I must say that the upcoming season looks promising with all these roster changes. The departure of key players from established teams like NRG and PWR, along with newcomers joining forces in other teams, creates an exciting atmosphere of uncertainty and anticipation.

Some of the best Rocket League teams in the world changed their rosters quite significantly.

2025 Rocket League Split 1’s pre-season transfer market was filled with unexpected twists. It’s like capturing the World Championship only to disband your whole team! Such roster changes have occurred across numerous esports squads.

Here we have lists of big Rocket League transfers in preparation for Split 1 of RLCS 2025.

Team BDS: No Rocket League players for RLCS 2025 Split 1

Previously, our team secured victories in two significant Rocket League esports tournaments. In the year 2024, Team BDS emerged triumphant as champions of the Esports World Cup. What’s truly noteworthy is that they were crowned as the World Champions of 2024.

Despite reaching notable milestones, Team BDS unfortunately faced the complete departure of their roster. This means that both their players and their coach have parted ways with the team. As of now, there’s no news on who will make up Team BDS’s Rocket League squad in 2025.

Previously, Dralii secured a victory during the off-season with Karmine Corp. In the final round of Rocket League Flip & Spin 2024, Dralii’s new squad managed to overcome Team Vitality in an exciting matchup. Notably, this competition pitted him against his former teammates M0nkey M00n and ExoTiiK from the same team.

G2 Esports: The best in NA are out

2024 saw a successful season for our team. G2 Stride clinched the victory at the RLCS 2024 London Major. They stood second at both the Copenhagen Major and the World Championship 2024. However, as of now, every member of the G2 Esports Rocket League squad is without a contract, and it appears there are no immediate replacements on the horizon.

Gen.G Mobil1 Racing: A new Rocket League roster

2024’s team lineup for Gen.G Mobil1 Racing was satisfactory but not outstanding. This could be why they decided to overhaul their entire squad. The team managed to secure a spot in the top 8 at both RLCS 2024 Majors and even reached the top 4 at the Rocket League EWC 2024 competition. However, their performance at the World Championship was less than stellar, finishing 12th-14th.

Team Vitality: Rotation of Rocket League World Champions

From one perspective, Team Vitality has struck gold by recruiting two World Champions, M0nkey M00n and ExoTiiK, not forgetting their successful coach. It’s a fantastic move! However, it’s also important to note that in doing so, they bid farewell to two Rocket League players who led Team Vitality to victory in the 2023 Championship.

Karmine Corp: Getting a power-up

In the recent Rocket League transfer market, this particular organization avoided making excessive and unconventional moves. However, they did replace one of their players – rise was replaced by dralii on the team roster.

At the World Championship 2024, the Spacestation Gaming Rocket League lineup turned heads with their impressive performance. They managed to advance to the top 8, outplaying teams like OG and Team Vitality in the process. However, a change was on the horizon for the organization as they decided to replace every player for the RLCS 2025 Split 1.

PWR

At the RLCS 2024 Worlds, the Australian team captivated fans with their impressive play. Despite finishing 9th-11th, they managed to overcome powerful opponents like Gen.G in the process. However, for Split 1 of RLCS 2025, there’s no PWR roster as everyone has been let go.

NRG

The current performance of the Rocket League team falls short of their past achievements, such as winning NA Seasons and Season Finals. Now struggling to qualify for Major events, there’s a sense that the team needs a fresh start with a new lineup within the NRG Rocket League organization.

The team had two active players before that, with one temporary replacement.

Meanwhile, some shifts occurred within smaller teams. The upcoming competitive season promises an exciting ride!
