The Thing: Remastered Release Date Leak Pegs the Game For Launch This Week

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for all things horror, especially those that hark back to my childhood, I must say, I’m positively thrilled about the impending release of The Thing: Remastered! The original game was a chilling and suspenseful adventure that left me on the edge of my seat, and the remaster promises to deliver an even more terrifying experience.

It seems that “The Thing: Remastered” is set to arrive within just a few days, based on a leak from the Xbox Wire, suggesting it will hit stores towards the end of this week.

First released on Xbox, PS2, and PC in 2002, the video game version of John Carpenter’s “The Thing” (one of my favorites, though I didn’t ask for recommendations) functioned as a sequel to the 1982 horror film. In this game, you take on the role of a US Special Forces squad, deployed to investigate the abandoned Outpost #31 arctic research facility.

As Captain JF Blake, you’ll soon discover the fate of RJ MacReady and the rest of your team, as a sense of unease spreads through your own group, and dread looms large. In their remastered version of “The Thing,” Nightdive Studios will abandon the blood test system from the original game that was widely criticized, while incorporating numerous upgrades instead.

It seems that “The Thing: Remastered” will be released on Thursday, 5th December, which is just around the corner. An official announcement regarding its release date is expected to come shortly.
