MAFS’ Ines Basic reveals horror cosmetic treatment accident that made her face ‘I looked like I’d had a stroke’

Ines Basic, who appeared on Married At First Sight, says a routine Botox injection caused part of her face to collapse.

In a recent video on Instagram, the 35-year-old OnlyFans creator shared that she previously got Botox injections to ease pain and reduce bulkiness in her jaw. She explained this was due to frequently clenching and grinding her teeth.

I was absolutely devastated when one of my client’s Botox treatments didn’t go as planned. Somehow, the Botox migrated and affected a different muscle, and it caused a noticeable drooping on one side of her face. It was so upsetting to see, and thankfully, the effect only lasted about four months until the Botox naturally wore off.

She’s stopped having Botox, and her jaw muscles have returned to their previous, more defined shape. This has led some fans to mistakenly comment on changes to her face.

Ines started by mentioning she’d read comments comparing her appearance to someone who’d been stung by a bee, and then explained she used to get Botox in her jaw.

She explained that she’d been getting Botox for five years, but once, the injection leaked into the wrong muscle, causing her face to droop. It looked like she’d had a stroke for about four months.

I stopped getting Botox because I was so scared by a previous experience, and that’s actually why my jaw looks a little square. People have accused me of getting tons of filler and Botox, but honestly, I haven’t had any!

Ines explained that while she might consider injections later on, she’s currently happy with letting her face age naturally.

She said she isn’t bothered by wrinkles, even preferring to see her face naturally express emotion. She believes aging doesn’t diminish her attractiveness, and cosmetic procedures like Botox wouldn’t improve it either.

Ines went on to admit she’s had a second accident Botox as well, but didn’t go into details.

It seems like a lot of people have been experiencing this lately, and I’m not sure what’s causing it within the industry. It’s like everyone’s in a hurry, and it’s even happening with experienced professionals. It can be a really upsetting experience.

Ines rose to fame on Married At First Sight in 2019.

She became known for controversy during the show due to a romantic connection with Sam Ball, who was already ‘married’ to another contestant, Elizabeth Sobinoff, as part of the show’s format.

Ines and Sam secretly planned to leave the show and start a life together, but their relationship was revealed during the third commitment ceremony.

Sam infamously ghosted Ines and the pair never spoke again.

Ines told Daily Mail Australia last month that she received so much online abuse from viewers of the show that Channel Nine had to provide personal security to protect her when she attended public events after filming wrapped up.

Honestly, it was awful. People were relentlessly attacking me online, and it went way beyond just normal criticism. They were sending me incredibly hateful, racist messages – and it really stung because I came to this country seeking safety as a refugee. It felt like a double blow, you know? Like they were trying to tear me down for just existing.

‘I got trolled so hard… I actually had a personal security guard.’

She added that she felt uncomfortable having to resort to the extra safety precautions.

She admitted it was really embarrassing, explaining she immediately knew she needed a security guard.

Ines stated the scandal didn’t represent her true character, but she also acknowledged feeling embarrassed when she thought about it now.

Looking back, I realize how over-the-top I was. At the time, I thought it was crazy, but now that I’m more mature, I see how childish and wild it seems.
