Clash Royale talks CHAOS Mode future, set to return this July 2026 with a few tweaks

Story Highlights

  • Clash Royale confirms the CHAOS mode will be removed temporarily from rotation.
  • A refreshed version is planned to return in July 2026 with a few additions and updates.

Clash Royale’s new CHAOS Mode has been a huge hit, bringing many players back to the game with its unpredictable and exciting decks. Although this mode and its ranked ladder won’t be available next season, there’s still some positive news to share.

The developers have announced that “C.H.A.O.S” Mode will be temporarily removed, but they plan to release an updated version in July 2026.

Stats reveal 41% of players unlocked at least one Secret CHAOS Badge in Clash Royale

I’ve been really enjoying the CHAOS mode in Clash Royale! It’s been awesome seeing everyone try out crazy new deck builds and even find cool little secrets, like those hidden CHAOS Badges. It’s great that Supercell has noticed how much people are engaging with it too!

The team reports that over 40% of players have earned at least one badge, but only a small fraction – around 2.4% – have collected all three. With three days left to go, if you haven’t unlocked any badges yet and need help, this guide can walk you through the process.

Over time, the game mode became less surprising. Players found that a few strategies became very effective, which made the game less random and creative than it used to be.

Some particularly powerful abilities caused problems, and were ultimately removed for the remainder of the season. Because of this, the game mode is being taken offline temporarily so the developers can make changes to improve balance and offer more variety.

The voting is complete! Players have decided to ban the following units and spells from C.H.A.O.S. mode for the remainder of the season:

Barbarian Hut
X-Bow
Golem
Electro Wizard
Goblin Demolisher
Goblin Barrel
Vines
Dart Goblin
Suspicious Bush
Poison

Let’s see how this changes things!😈

We’re planning several updates soon. These include a revised card selection with some cards being added and others removed, tweaks to how current abilities work, and the launch of new ways to play, such as Triple Draft.

The developers are also working on making the game’s interface and deck-building easier to use, and they’ve teased a new Secret Badge to find. While July seems a bit distant, this new mode has definitely rekindled our interest in the game, so we’re willing to wait.
