Sharing the hosting duties with Stephen, who had an unexpected hospital visit this week following a collapse at Pizza Express, the thrilling game show is set to broadcast on ITV in December, allowing viewers to witness ordinary individuals facing extraordinary tasks.
Holly is pleased to collaborate with Stephen once more, as he has consistently proven reliable for ITV during times when other presenters were absent. Notably, they worked together on “Dancing On Ice” not long ago.
Following Philip Schofield’s resignation from all his ITV duties due to a scandal involving an affair with a junior coworker, Stephen took over his role for the ITV ice skating competition.

Prior to embarking on his latest venture, Stephen demonstrated his commitment to ITV by taking on hosting duties for shows such as Dancing On Ice and Britain’s Got Talent in the past.
But despite Stephen being one of ITV’s top favourite presenters, he may find it hard to focus on his latest TV project with Holly as he struggles with a mystery health scares, property issues and the tragic passing of his father.
Initially, Stephen raised worries when he withdrew from Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway in April due to falling sick.
It’s said that he informed the producers during the early hours of Saturday, while they were preparing for filming, that he wasn’t in a position to perform on the show that night because he wasn’t feeling well.
During his absence from the show, specifics about his illness were not disclosed; however, a reliable source close to Stephen informed The Sun on Sunday that: ‘Stephen had been scheduled for a brief segment of the program, but unfortunately, he wasn’t well enough to participate.’
When he discovered that his condition wouldn’t allow him to attend, he made an early call on Saturday morning to inform the team of his absence.
‘They were able to rejig the format and make it work without him.’
A spokesperson for Stephen informed TopMob that Stephen had originally planned to participate in one of tonight’s sketches, but unfortunately, he couldn’t perform because he wasn’t feeling well. He’s excited about returning for the finale next week.
In the year 2022, Stephen took a brief hiatus from TV appearances as he recovered from a medical procedure, following his doctor’s advice to take time off for rest.
In simpler terms, he expressed to everyone, “Hey there, I apologize for my recent absence on this platform and appreciate all the kind words you’ve sent me. I’ve taken a break and have been following the doctor’s advice to rest.
It’s great news that I’m recovering well, and I can’t wait to return to work shortly. For now, I plan to relax and enjoy some leisure time, including watching Saturday Night Takeaway this evening alongside everyone else.
On Wednesday evening, a medical emergency at approximately 8 pm led to a call for an ambulance, as the staff of Pizza Express grew worried about his health condition.
To ensure safety measures, he was transported from Sunningdale, Berkshire to Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley, Surrey following a check-up by paramedics.
Following assistance from paramedics, Stephen phoned his mom, Maureen, to reassure her he’s fine, currently at home recuperating, and deeply embarrassed about the public display his response to the anaesthetic caused.
According to a source, he underwent a procedure on Wednesday. After receiving the anesthesia, he consumed some alcohol which caused him to feel unwell.
Despite Stephen maintaining a highly private personal life, news emerged this week that his father, Christopher, has sadly passed away.
According to a representative, Stephen has experienced great difficulties during the past few weeks. The loss of his dear father has affected him deeply and, as one might expect, this situation has been extremely stressful for him.
Stephen hails from east London, where he was born in the year 1977 to his working-class parents, Christopher and Maureen, who ran a market stall.
The celebrity attributes his achievements to his parents by expressing: “They deserve a lot of credit for working tirelessly to raise not just me, but also my three siblings.
Growing up with his four siblings, he developed his social abilities while helping out at their family’s market stand. Later in life, he embarked on a magical career.
Stephen has experienced a tough period related to one of his properties, as the tenants asserted that they’ve endured dampness and mold issues for quite some time.
In response to complaints that had gone unaddressed for several years, the owner of a £4 million company was compelled to offer an apology to the tenants residing in one of his properties, who expressed feelings of resentment and estrangement.
Photos taken by The Big Issue of the revamped bungalow revealed that its walls were stained with mildew and moisture, a situation that the tenants (one of whom was a crucial frontline worker throughout the pandemic) reported negatively impacted their emotional well-being.
Stephen said he had no idea about how bad the flats were and is ‘absolutely mortified’.
He mentioned that he hired an independent property management firm for its maintenance, assuring to address the issues promptly.
It was refurbished and rented out to the tenant and a flatmate, who pay £775 a month.
Initially, the tenants detected issues related to moisture and mold, which they highlighted during a property evaluation conducted alongside Connells, several years past.
They said: ‘The agent merely recommended that we ventilate properly and keep the house warm during the winter. We did, but the damp gradually worsened. We remained patient, sending polite emails at first. In later conversations, my remarks became a bit sharper.’

I strongly dislike the apparent lack of concern shown by Stephen Mulhern, Jas Athwal, and others like them. They’re all part of a system that seems to view tenants as mere sources of revenue rather than people.
In October, a representative for Stephen stated to TopMob: ‘Stephen was deeply embarrassed upon discovering this predicament, and the distressing ordeal the tenant has endured, which undeniably falls short of what’s acceptable.’
Stephen isn’t informed about these matters since he trusts a separate business to handle his property, taking care of it independently.
Unfamiliar with the problems till recently, Stephen swiftly tackled the situation himself by directly asking for a team of experts on dampness to examine the property. His priority is to ensure prompt resolution of the ventilation and mold issues without delay.

As a die-hard admirer of Stephen’s work, I can confidently say that the quality here just doesn’t cut it – it’s far from what he holds as his standard. Yet, I wholeheartedly believe in him and his relentless pursuit for excellence. He’s already put the wheels in motion to rectify this situation without delay, and the process is well underway.
