Ackles is known for subtly referencing past roles, but most of these connections in the show were accidental. Besides his role in The Boys, Jensen Ackles is well-known for playing Russell Shaw on Tracker. He first appeared towards the end of the first season, introducing Colter to clues about their father’s death from two decades earlier.
