Strictly Come Dancing fans claim one couple has an ‘unfair advantage’ ahead of Musicals Week as the competition is plagued by fixing rows
As a dedicated follower of Strictly Come Dancing for over two decades now, I must say that this year’s competition has been filled with its fair share of controversies, and the latest one involving Sarah Hadland is no exception. Having seen countless seasons and countless dances, I can confidently say that the allegations of an unfair advantage are not just baseless but also a tad amusing.
As a devoted fan of Strictly Come Dancing, I can’t help but feel a wave of discontent among us viewers who believe that one dancing pair seems to be benefiting from an unfair edge as we approach this weekend’s live performance.
In my role as a lifestyle expert, I must share some intriguing developments regarding a popular show. Following the announcement that Sarah Hadland will be singing “Popular” from the beloved musical Wicked, new repair allegations have surfaced, adding an unexpected twist to the narrative.
Meanwhile, enthusiasts of this production are swarming cinemas to catch the latest movie featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, but not every Strictly Come Dancing audience member was content with the reference to the renowned musical.
Audience members think that the Miranda star, aged 53, might have an edge due to the perceived timeliness or relatability of their songs compared to others.
Online forum users expressed concerns that the show might have manipulated results, as they believed Sarah and her partner, Vito Coppola, were allowed to perform a popular song during their dance routine, based on reports from The Sun.
It appears quite unbalanced that one individual receives a dance popularized by a currently trending song, while another gets a dance associated with a less recognized musical, which the public typically does not show much interest in.
While another added: ‘Top of the leader board will likely be Sarah.’
Others said: ‘Sarah and Vito get a Charleston and a tie in to Wicked – blimey! Popular indeed.’
Another viewers said their favourite dancer is being purposefully pushed out of the competition.
They noted: “The BBC’s preference for getting rid of Montell is quite clear. It’s almost as if they’re hinting at wanting him gone without directly saying so.
Additionally, some commented, “It’s absurd to assign a Rumba during Musical week to a contestant who has ended up in the bottom three on three separate occasions?
It’s clear that the Strictly producers are aware of the situation; Montell truly deserves more. I was hoping to witness a Charleston dance from Team Jojo this week.
‘They stitched up Shayne and now they’re stitching up Montell.
‘The difference though is that Montell is too good to leave this early. She should be a finalist! I’m fuming!’
Criticism from fans arose over Sarah allegedly having an unfair edge, following her impressive display of Rumba dance which the judges praised as the best they had ever witnessed in the previous episode, making her a strong contender for winning their favor.
Sarah, along with her skilled dance partner Vito, moved gracefully to the tune of “Chains” by Tina Arena, leaving fans of the show spellbound with their breathtaking routine.
Regarding X, the audience commented: ‘Sarah Hadland is my choice for winner! What an incredible dance!’ or ‘Sarah Hadland takes the crown, and I’d like to invite Vito over to my place.’
“Sarah’s Rumba performance on Strictly Come Dancing was simply amazing, from her captivating start to her mesmerizing finish! The way she walked during the Rumba sent shivers down my spine. Her hip movements were fantastic and the chemistry between them was palpable. Simply incredible!
‘It’s likely that Sarah will take the victory due to her outstanding performance.’
In simple terms, Chris, along with his dance partner Dianne Buswell, have a strong chance of winning “Strictly” as they currently stand at odds of 1/5, which equates to an estimated probability of 83%. They’ve been the favorites since the second week.
Sarah appears to be considered the strongest contender challenging Chris’s path to triumph, yet she remains a significant underdog in the odds, currently standing at 9-to-2. Meanwhile, Tasha Ghouri completes the top tier of possibilities, priced at 10-to-1.
According to William Hill’s representative, Lee Phelps, there appears to be no obstacle for Chris McCausland in the Strictly Come Dancing odds, as he is currently looking very promising and seemingly holding the Glitterball Trophy quite securely already.
Even though there are still four weeks remaining, Chris has a strong lead in the betting odds for this year’s series with odds of 1/5. This puts him well ahead of Sarah Hadland (who has odds of 9/2) and Tasha Ghouri (who has odds of 10/1).
