At the Rolling Stone Awards held in London on Thursday, Jade Thirlwall and Jordan Stephens exhibited a sweet and affectionate demeanor towards each other.
As the singers stood side by side, they couldn’t help but fix their gazes on one another prior to entering the Roundhouse theater.
Previously part of the band Little Mix, now aged 31, showcased her legs in a frayed, soft pink mini-dress with a corset.
In a semi-transparent gown with off-shoulder straps, buckles, and a frayed train, the singer from The Angel of My Dreams was nothing less than stunningly beautiful.
She paired the bold look with a pair of vintage steam punk-inspired pink boots with a large bow.
Jade let her outfit do the talking as she posed without any jewelry and smoky make-up.
Next to her was her boyfriend Jordan, whom she’s been seeing since 2020 during the initial COVID-19 lockdown; they connected through his Instagram private messages.
Jordan looked effortlessly stylish in a brown monochrome look.
32-year-old member of the Rizzle Kicks band opted for a dark, rich brown Levi’s corduroy utility jacket paired with loose-fitting trouser bottoms, both pieces complementing a brown shirt beneath. He chose to wear this ensemble.
The rapper completed his look with a brown tie and white loafers swept his hair into a top knot.
The musical pair seemed deeply in love, sharing laughter and affection, as they cozied up together prior to entering the awards ceremony.
Following Jordan’s confession about achieving sobriety, their outing took place after a point when someone set limits to prevent further damage to relationships that Jordan had broken in the past.
The musician discussed his experiences with drugs and alcohol during a candid interview on On The Mend With Matt Willis.
In my personal journey, I noticed that each time I succumbed to substance abuse, it inevitably wrecked the bonds I cherish. This pattern isn’t beneficial for me, so I decided to take a different path – one of sobriety. And indeed, I have managed to do so.
“This marked the end of the line for me. It was a difficult lesson when someone stood firm on their principles, making me question my own actions.
‘One of the things I did, which I talk about at the end of this book, is I literally went to a f*****g course on relationships to teach myself how to be a good partner. Wow. Because I was like, I’m clearly f*****g this up.’
Jordan also told how he had been overdosing on the drug Modafinil which he took for his ADHD.
After procuring it online, the performer didn’t initially recognize that his dosage was excessively high. It wasn’t until he sought help from a psychiatrist that he became aware of this.
Jordan mentioned: “He asked me, ‘How potent are these pills?’ To which I replied, ‘Each one is 200mg.’ He fell silent for a moment and then inquired, ‘Are you saying 400mg daily?’ I responded, ‘Sometimes.’
‘And he went, okay, we’re going to get you on this thing. And then he writes the prescription. And I remember so vividly he gave me the prescription and I looked at and it said 16mg, and I was like 16mg?
‘And then I remember reading the pamphlet and it said like, here’s how you know you’ve had an overdose. And it was like dry tongue, profuse sweating.
It seemed as if all the symptoms I associated with Modafinil taking effect were indeed occurring, which suggests that I may have been overusing it daily for approximately 18 months.
Jordan mentioned he additionally consumed Modafinil, a drug employed for addressing issues that lead to extreme daytime drowsiness, as an aid in his efforts to quit cocaine use.
He said: ‘Modafinil was to take me off coke because my cocaine use became a problem when I started doing it at home.
Originally, visiting these overwhelming locations was such a challenge that I developed a strategy to help me cope. You’re aware of this, right? And indeed, the experience was almost dreamlike.
During an appearance at the Kite Festival, Jordan offered a seldom-shared glimpse into his relationship with Jade.
He said: ‘I have to give a shout out to my current girlfriend. The relationship I’m in now I feel secure and safe. I feel love and I feel connected to a person.
‘I didn’t have an understanding that I could feel love like this.’
