As a lifestyle expert with extensive experience in analyzing public figures and their personal lives, I find the Rooney family’s current situation quite intriguing. It’s not often that we see a high-profile couple like Wayne and Coleen navigating such different paths – one in the jungle of reality TV and the other on the challenging terrain of professional football management.

On “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” on Wednesday, Coleen Rooney jokingly made a light-hearted remark about her husband Wayne while discussing his soccer coaching job.

Previously a professional soccer player, now aged 39, is at present serving as the head coach for Plymouth Argyle, having hung up his boots from the sport in 2017.

During a conversation with her fellow campers, Colleen confessed that she experiences ‘increased stress’ now that Wayne has transitioned from playing to coaching.

Danny Jones seized the opportunity to question Colleen about Wayne, using their recent conversation about his new job managing Plymouth Argyle football club as a topic, he inquired: “Is he enjoying the management role?

Colleen replied: “Yes, he really likes it, but it’s tough. I find myself feeling more anxious about him managing than I used to… There’s definitely more pressure now.

Barry Guigan remarked about Wayne, “Didn’t he grow up fast? He seemed quite mature at an early age.

To which Coleen replied: ‘Well, I don’t know about that!’ as the camp laughed in response.

After suffering a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Norwich, Wayne expressed frustration with the senior Plymouth team, suggesting that the Under-18 squad could have put up a stronger fight.

At Carrow Road, Plymouth experienced their most significant defeat under Wayne, as Borja Sainz scored three goals to secure a dominating victory for the home team.

After the game, the legendary figure from Manchester United and England criticized his team and implied that the club’s under-18 squad might have held their ground more tenaciously under similar circumstances.

He stated, “We fell significantly short – our team is severely depleted due to injuries, but that doesn’t absolve us from our poor performance.

If a player aspires to join and maintain their position within the team, it’s crucial for them to exceed their current performance levels.

At the break, we found ourselves trailing by two goals to one. In the second half, we hoped for a comeback, but after they scored the third goal, making it 3-1, I felt we struggled and this was quite disheartening.

‘The players just didn’t look like they thought they could get back in it.

As a diehard supporter, I can confidently say that our under-18 squad could likely hold their own without giving up six goals. Thus, I’m feeling deeply disappointed, enraged, and incredibly frustrated by the recent outcome. The next 24 to 48 hours are shaping up to be quite tough on our players.

‘But we need to really get to the bottom of why this is happening.’

The outcome positions Plymouth two points above the Championship’s relegation zone, as they haven’t managed a victory on the road so far this season.

In other words, we suffered yet another significant away game defeat. Additionally, it’s important to note that this was not our first disappointing result under Wayne’s leadership; he has previously overseen a 4-0 loss versus Sheffield Wednesday and a 5-0 drubbing against Cardiff as well.

After Wayne made an appearance on the Sunday night edition of I’m A Celebrity’s supplementary show, Unpacked, he discussed Coleen’s time on the main program.

Wayne remarked, “It’s surprising yet genuine to see her venturing into the wilderness. She’s truly shining, revealing her character and essence. We’re all incredibly impressed by her.

The former England footballer added the viewers are getting to see the real Coleen.

‘She is a warm and caring person. It’s great to see her bridging the gap between the older and younger ones and settling in.’

When asked how much he and their four boys Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, and Cass were missing her, Wayne admitted it’s been tough.

‘It’s the longest I’ve been without speaking to her since we were kids,’ he revealed.

Additionally, Wayne shared some perspectives on how his family is assisting in caring for their four sons since he’s working in Plymouth, with the boys residing in Cheshire.

He mentioned that Colleen’s parents are providing significant assistance. Since I’m currently stationed in Plymouth for work, we have a competent group caring for the children. However, we do miss her.

Wayne expressed his eagerness for Coleen to participate in one of the show’s difficult tasks, stating, “It would be great to witness her trying a trial. That’s what it’s really about – pushing your limits.

‘She’d be really good at the trials, and it would be great for her to have that experience.’

Apart from being a football icon, this person openly admitted they, along with their family, are avid enthusiasts of the show. In fact, they mentioned they wouldn’t object to being part of it.

‘We watch it most years when we can. The celebrity version is the one we always said we’d do.

‘Maybe I’d try it one day if I’m not working, but it’s not possible right now.’
