Progressive Rivalry Series: Ohio State vs Michigan match preview

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for college football rivalries, I can hardly contain my excitement for this year’s Progressive Rivalry Series between Ohio State and Michigan! The anticipation is building up to an all-time high as we gear up for the big game on Nov. 30, but first, let’s settle things virtually on EA Sports College Football 25 on Nov. 26.

In the realm of video games and sports, Ohio State and Michigan engage in the Progressive Rivalry Series prior to their clash this week on the football field.

On November 30, Ohio State University (OSU) and the University of Michigan are scheduled to clash in their 120th matchup, a highly anticipated event often regarded as one of the most significant rivalries in College Football. In the lead-up to this gridiron battle, both institutions will escalate their competition online through the Progressive Rivalry Series. On November 26, current athletes, esteemed alumni, and prominent video game influencers from each school will engage in a virtual showdown, playing EA Sports College Football 25.

Rivalry Series rematch

2022 saw Ohio State and Michigan locking horns in the debut of the Rivalry Series. This unique competition unfolded on a specially designed Fortnite battleground, attracting notable alumni like Braxton Miller, along with NFL stars such as CJ Stroud and Roman Wilson. In this virtual showdown, Scoped, a prominent Fortnite streamer from Michigan, guided his team to the Rivalry Series Championship. Interestingly enough, they went on to win the actual football game the following weekend.

After a year’s break, Ohio State and Michigan are set to square off again in the Progressive Rivalry Series, marking the first rematch in this series. Many familiar faces and several top-tier newcomers will be on display for both teams. Ohio State is determined to exact revenge, while Michigan aims to retain its title as champions of the Rivalry Series. In anticipation of Sunday’s football game, both schools plan to make a strong statement in Tuesday’s video game competition.
