Pokémon GO Dual Destiny: Everything we know so far

As a seasoned Pokémon GO gamer, with over a decade of capturing and battling these iconic creatures, I must say that the upcoming Dual Destiny season has me more excited than ever! The teaser trailer alone sent shivers down my spine with those tantalizing rings hinting at the return of Hoopa.

The next season of Pokémon GO is called Dual Destiny, here is everything we know so far.

As the Pokémon GO Wild Area event wraps up, anticipation builds for the upcoming season of Pokémon GO, set to begin next week. We now have an official title for this season, and some early hints about what lies ahead. Here’s a look at what we know so far about Pokémon GO Dual Destiny.

BREAKING NEWS: WE NOW HAVE FULL SEASON DETAILS.

When is the next Pokémon GO season?

Starting from December 3, 2024 at 10:00 am local time, the new Pokémon GO season called Dual Destiny will commence and continue until March 4, 2025.

What is coming in Pokémon GO Dual Destiny?

Currently, there’s been a single sneak peek at the forthcoming season of Pokémon GO. Additionally, a fresh app icon for Pokémon GO has surfaced on Android devices, allowing us to deduce some initial particulars.

Black and White Kyurem should debut in a Unova Tour

It appears that the secret is out about Black and White Kyurem in Pokémon GO, as they were prematurely unveiled a few months back and then withdrawn. Given the recent introduction of fusions during Pokémon GO Fest and Adventure Effects during the Sinnoh Tour, it seems fitting (and intentional!) that Black and White Kyurem will make their official debut now.

During the Unova tour, we can expect their first appearance. It’s been confirmed that the Black and White series, including Unova, will be showcased this season due to the updated app icon, which has a two-tone, black and white design.

Typically, we host a Tournament each February, and these events are regionally-themed and occur sequentially. Following the Sinnoh region, it’s time for the Unova Tour, so you can look forward to updates about the Unova Tour, whether you’re attending in person or online, during Pokémon GO Dual Destiny.

Hoopa to return in Pokémon GO Dual Destiny, will it be shiny?

In the recently revealed trailer by Niantic, multiple rings are showcased, suggesting that Hoopa might make a comeback during Pokémon GO Dual Destiny. It’s been quite some time since we encountered this mythical creature in the game. The last appearance of Hoopa Confined was back in September 2021, through Special Research, while Hoopa Unbound was seen in 2021 as well, during Elite Raids.

It would be wise to check out both of these Pokemon, as there’s a possibility that we might encounter their shiny variants during this particular season as well.

Gigantamax Orbeetle on the horizon

Recently, a new video hinted at upcoming Gigantamax Battles in the game, showcasing none other than Gigantamax Orbeetle. Though it might not be the most thrilling Gigantamax Pokemon, it’s significant because this is our first encounter with Orbeetle within the game! So, while we may hope for more exciting additions, I’m pretty excited about this potential debut!

Furthermore, there are numerous Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon that can effectively deal with Orbeetle, making the Gigantamax fights easier to manage due to this variety of options.

Pokémon GO Dual Destiny will debut Mega Gallade

It’s clear now that we’re going to witness the arrival of Mega Gallade in the game soon. The appearance of Gallade Mega Energy within the game serves as an indication that the Mega Evolution for a Pokémon is about to be introduced.

In the initial part of Dual Destiny, we have several Raid Day activities scheduled. It’s expected that among these events, Mega Gallade could make its appearance. This is similar to how Mega Lucario, Mega Mawile, and Mega Heracross were introduced during past events.
