As a fervent admirer of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, I find myself continually awestruck by his extraordinary journey from wrestling ring to Hollywood stardom. Yet, it is moments like these – when he combines his fame with acts of kindness and generosity – that truly underscore the man’s heart and soul.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson moved his fans to tears by posting a heartfelt video on social media with Make-A-Wish America. In this video, he arranged for some children as special guests to attend the exclusive premiere of Moana 2 in Hawaii.

In the franchise, the 52-year-old actor, known for voicing Maui, accompanied his two daughters, aged six (Tiana) and eight (Jasmine), during a touching outing where he also portrays the character in the live-action remake.

He shared a video of the experience with his 395 million Instagram followers on Monday and gushed that it’s the ‘best part of fame’.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to granting heartfelt desires of critically ill kids residing in the U.S.

In the video, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson walks toward the gathering with his two small daughters, and as they go, he tells them, ‘These children here are part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.’

Instead of her saying, ‘And they’re supposed to see you?’, Tiana questioned if they were expected to encounter you, prior to venturing outdoors to link up with the gathering.

In a heartwarming scene, the actor and his kids engaged in conversations with some younger individuals while learning about the significance of the day from their parents, leaving everyone emotional.

In a friendly manner, The Rock engaged the children by offering hugs, participating in activities such as rock-paper-scissors and arm wrestling, and also presenting his own daughters to them.

A 15-year-old named Patrick’s parent expressed delight: “I’m overjoyed that Patrick has been given this chance. It holds great significance since, during his tough times, seeing that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was around served as motivation.

Man, there’s just something about him that hooks me. His raw power, unyielding spirit, and sense of humor – it all combines to make quite an impression. And during those challenging times, his ability to find levity was nothing short of inspiring.

A different parent commented: “This is fantastic! It’s amazing how Make-A-Wish made this happen and Dwayne Johnson gave his time for it.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share this heartwarming tale. Once, a young artist crafted a unique tribute to their idol – a handmade clay replica of the iconic hook from Moana, my beloved Maui’s. With trembling hands, they presented it to the star himself, a moment I wish I could have witnessed!

‘I love this,’ the actor gushed, ‘You mind if I wear it now? Thank you, man.’

He went on to tell another little girl: ‘I love your hair,’ and asked his daughters: ‘Isn’t her hair cool?’

Meanwhile, the actor told another little boy: ”You inspire everybody around you, including me.’

After the meet and greet, the children from Make-A-Wish along with their families were invited to join the A-List star at the global debut of Moana on a Thursday evening.

As an ardent admirer, I was blessed to find myself amidst a group who had the privilege of standing next to The Rock, as we each took turns adorning him with a fragrant lei, a gesture I couldn’t help but savor.

He wrote in the caption:  ‘I do my best to never get emotional in these moments, but I do get very emo watching this stuff back.

Once more, it was a privilege to fulfill dreams from @makeawishamerica, and on this occasion, the experience was even more exceptional as my two whirlwinds, Jazzy and Tia, were eager to accompany me in meeting these extraordinary children.

We arranged for these children and their families to travel to Hawaii, where they joined us as our esteemed guests at the grand opening of MOANA 2.

He continued: ‘What a beautiful day meeting these kids. Their strength and resilience inspires EVERYONE around them – including me.

To all the mothers, fathers, and family members I’ve encountered, I can truly feel the warmth of your embraces and firmness of your handshakes. I understand and share in your strength. A special shout-out to my incredible collaborators at Make-A-Wish – you are the finest aspect of my celebrity status. May blessings be upon all of you.

Fans wrote in the comments: ‘Im not crying I just have one rock in my eyes.’

Your knack for treating everyone you encounter with kindness is truly remarkable, Dwayne! Could I ask that you vow to always maintain this lovely approach towards people?

I found myself tearing up throughout the whole viewing. His spirit, with its unique ability to affect others, is truly exceptional – he’s one of a kind!

‘Awwww. My heart is bursting for those kids.’

‘I’m not crying, you’re crying.’

If you believe there isn’t any more admiration left for The Rock and his values within you… and yet, he continues demonstrating heartwarming acts of kindness.

At the world premiere of Moana 2 in Hawaii on Thursday, the star posed for a seldom-taken family photograph afterwards.

He was accompanied by his wife Lauren Hashian (age 40), along with their daughters Jasmine (age 8) and Tiana (age 6), as well as his mother Ata Johnson (age 76), on the red carpet event.

The former wrestler looked sharp and stylish, donning a fresh mint green suit and a pendant made of leaves, complemented by sunglasses with a tint, as he mingled with his dear ones.

At the movie premiere, Simone Garcia Johnson, aged 23 and The Rock’s eldest child, was seen alongside her father in photos. The movie is due to hit theaters on November 27th.

Garcia – whose mom is Dany Garcia – has followed her father into the wrestling world as Ava Raine.

#MOANALiveAction is scheduled to premiere in theaters July 10, 2026.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I am thrilled to share that I’m privileged to be part of an exciting project – the live-action adaptation of a beloved tale. The director of this venture is none other than Thomas Kail, whose vision I deeply admire. Moreover, the music for this movie will be crafted by Lin-Manuel Miranda, a Broadway sensation whose work has always resonated with me and millions like us. It’s going to be an extraordinary journey!

Kail is currently working on a screenplay penned by Jared Bush, the scriptwriter of the critically acclaimed 2016 animated film Moana. This movie was adored by audiences worldwide, earning an impressive box office revenue of $687.2 million against a production budget of around $150-175 million.

In the movie “Moana,” the protagonist embarks on a voyage to find Maui, with the ultimate goal of rescuing her homeland from an impending environmental catastrophe.

She persuades him to embark on a journey with her, aiming to retrieve his enchanted fishing hook and return the stolen heart stone belonging to the goddess Te Fiti.

The character Moana holds a special significance for Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), as he possesses Samoan nationality through his Samoan mother, as stated by IMDb.

Speaking from the depths of a fervent heart, I can’t help but declare that Moana encapsulates the essence of who I am, a testament to our people’s elegance and resilient spirit. I carry this culture not just on my physical being, but in the very core of my soul.
