Shirtless Sam Thompson shows off his chiseled abs as he joins bikini-clad Kemi Rogers and Joel Dommett as the new I’m A Celebrity Unpacked stars relax at lavish swimming pool

As a long-time fan of both football and reality TV, it is truly fascinating to witness the unexpected appearance of Wayne Rooney on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The former England captain has had an extraordinary life, filled with achievements on the pitch and a loving family off it. Seeing him step out of his comfort zone and into the Australian jungle is a testament to his versatility and courage.

On a sunny Monday, Sam Thompson, bare-chested, showed off his well-defined abdominals as he relaxed by the pool in Australia, momentarily pausing from his work on I’m A Celebrity Unpacked.

Last year, I found myself far removed from my days surviving in the jungle on a diet of rice and beans, as I stepped out in a snazzy pair of blue swim trunks, flaunting my well-toned figure.

As a devoted fan, I proudly sported an extra-large Star Wars T-shirt paired with my swimwear, and to ensure comfort, I slipped into a relaxed fit of khaki Crocs throughout the day.

At the swimming pool, Sam was accompanied by fellow ITV2 stars Joel Dommett and Kemi Rogers. Both of them likewise donned their swimming attire to unwind under the sun’s rays.

Every evening following the main event, the three of them have been actively hosting the Australian version of “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” on ITV2.

Even though their television commitments kept them extremely occupied, they still found a moment to unwind and catch some sun rays.

Kemi looked incredible as she showed off her amazing figure in an eye catching orange bikini. 

The Capital radio host gathered her lengthy, golden hair into a bun and defended herself from the sun with a pair of trendy shades, ensuring she stayed calm.

She was seen arriving at the swimming pool, donning a stylish white-and-orange striped short set. Later, she changed into an orange bikini.

Kemi was later seen taking a drip in the water to cool off as she chatted away to Sam.  

During this time, comedian Joel, who placed second in the competition back in 2016, flaunted his toned physique in a vibrant set of green and blue swim trunks.

He looked in good spirits as he was also joined by his wife Hannah Cooper who was also seen soaking up the sun. 

Model Hannah appeared utterly at ease, reclining comfortably on a sunbed while adorned in a strapless swimsuit, applying sunscreen.

Prior to their outing, Hannah was observed engaged in a conversation with Sam. Subsequently, both were noticed sipping from large water bottles.

After four consecutive days of heavy rainstorms in Australia, the stars gleefully basked in the sunlight that followed.

After joining forces with Joel, Sam, and Kemi on the show Unpacked, renowned soccer icon Wayne Rooney made an appearance to express his backing for his spouse, Coleen Rooney.

The manager of the Plymouth Argylle, aged 39, confessed that this has been the longest period they’ve gone without speaking since they first began their relationship as teenagers.

Wayne shared with host Joel that it feels unusual for him to see his wife, who is 38 years old, appearing on screen, and he, along with their four sons – Kai (15), Klay (11), Kit (eight) and Cass (six) – are deeply missing her.

Wayne remarked, “It’s surprising yet true to see her out in the wilderness. She’s really shining, revealing her unique qualities and spirit. She’s making us all feel proud.

The former England footballer added the viewers are getting to see the real Coleen.

‘She is a warm and caring person. It’s great to see her bridging the gap between the older and younger ones and settling in.’

When queried about the absence of his sons Kai (15), Klay (11), Kit (8) and Cass (6), Wayne acknowledged that it has been a challenging time for him.

‘It’s the longest I’ve been without speaking to her since we were kids,’ he revealed.

Additionally, Wayne provided some information about how his family is assisting in caring for their four sons since he’s working in Plymouth, with the boys residing in Cheshire.

I’m currently away for work in Plymouth, but thankfully Coleen’s parents are lending us a tremendous hand. It’s comforting to know that our kids are well taken care of by this strong support system. However, their absence is certainly felt.

Wayne expressed his desire for Coleen to participate in one of the program’s difficult tasks, stating, “It would be great if she tried a challenge! That’s what it’s all about – pushing your limits.

‘She’d be really good at the trials, and it would be great for her to have that experience.’

This football icon admitted that not only is he, but his entire family, avid viewers of the series, and if given the chance, he would be thrilled to make a guest appearance.

‘We watch it most years when we can. The celebrity version is the one we always said we’d do.

‘Maybe I’d try it one day if I’m not working, but it’s not possible right now.’

In last Thursday’s broadcast, Colleen confided about her partnership with Wayne, revealing that he composes poems for her.

Oh absolutely! Every time the question arises if I’ve penned a poem for my beloved wife upon her release, I gleam with excitement. You see, composing verses has always been a cherished pastime of mine – a means to articulate emotions that often seem inexpressible otherwise. Rest assured, a heartfelt ode will be eagerly awaiting her arrival.

After his appearance on the show, Wayne penned a sweet message on X saying:

Wayne’s unexpected arrival follows Coleen shocking fellow camper GK Barry with her revelation of a heartwarmingly romantic action that husband Wayne takes to maintain their love.

Even though it had been some time since he last did so, Colleen shared that Wayne has the habit of writing her heartfelt letters using hotel stationery and presenting them upon his return home.

She mentioned that Wayne had a habit of composing poems on hotel notepads, keeping them in his bag, and presenting them to her upon their return home.

Caught off guard, a surprised GK, 25, said: Wayne Rooney? That is so cute!’

In the Bush Telegraph, GK said: ‘Never did I ever think that Wayne Rooney had it in him to write a love poem.

I haven’t met him, yet the image I have of him doesn’t match the kind of person I thought he was. It’s fascinating to consider what people might say about him.

Coleen added: ‘They’re nice to keep but I can’t remember the last time he gave me one…’

As a devoted admirer, I might find myself playfully saying something like this: “You know, just as roses are red and the jungle is green, so is my affection for you, dear Coleen.

Pondering within our shared confidant, Colleen mentioned, “He has a romantic side to him, though we may not appear overtly affectionate in public. However, those small gestures, I believe, are what help keep our relationship thriving.

‘And it’s special when someone’s done something just for you, and the words mean something.’
