Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Director Wants to Get the Remake Trilogy to 'As Many Players Out There as Possible'

As a long-time fan who has spent countless hours immersed in the captivating world of Final Fantasy VII, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the prospect of exploring this iconic series on more platforms, including the mighty Xbox! The idea of bringing these epic tales to a broader audience is truly heartening.

Naoki Hamaguchi, director of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, expresses his desire for the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy to become available on additional platforms such as Xbox.

As a fervent admirer of Final Fantasy 7, I can’t reveal much at the moment, but what I can say is that my heartfelt desire is to share this beloved game, along with the Remake series, with as many fellow enthusiasts worldwide as I possibly can. (Quote attributed to Hamaguchi, speaking to GamesRadar)

He mentioned, “Our goal is to establish an atmosphere and conditions that encourage more gamers to enjoy games in the future. We’re focusing on this aspect because there aren’t as many games available that people would purchase a console solely for.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed a significant shift in variety lately, which is why I believe our CEO, Mr. Kiryu, decided to steer Square Enix towards a more multiplatform approach. This change came about following the commercial underperformance of FF VII Rebirth. It seems that’s where the gaming industry is heading now.

As a dedicated gamer, let me tell you, I can’t hide my admiration for the Xbox. This gaming powerhouse is simply fantastic, it’s got my thumbs clicking and eyes glued to the screen. In fact, some of my favorite games, like Final Fantasy XIV Online and the recently released Pixel Remaster of Final Fantasy I-VI, are now available on Xbox. So, if you’re looking for an immersive gaming experience, Xbox is definitely the way to go!

It seems possible that the games Final Fantasy VII Remake, Rebirth, and the upcoming third installment of the FF7 Remake trilogy might one day become available on Xbox. Given that Final Fantasy XVI has been released for PC, it’s reasonable to expect an Xbox version of that game as well, don’t you think? Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
