Adele reveals the real reason she took on her Las Vegas residency – as the singer admits she’s not sure when she will perform again

On Saturday, the singer, who was 36 years old, expressed her emotions one last time on stage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, marking the end of her two-year residency.

In her final show, she not only shared details about future plans but also revealed to the audience the reasons behind accepting the residency initially.

Speaking to her 12-year-old son Angelo, she said with enthusiasm: ‘Perhaps the reason I took up a residency instead was that I found touring rather tiresome.’ (According to People)

On Saturday evening, Adele drank a glass of wine on stage before addressing her massive crowd of 5,000 fans, as captured in a shared clip from X. She expressed, “I’m genuinely sad this residency has ended, but I couldn’t be happier that it took place. I really mean it.

The beginning was extremely rough, making it one of the most challenging years I’ve experienced. I was met with constant setbacks, which were truly awful. I was warned that this decision could potentially harm my career and Las Vegas might not forget so easily about the sudden cancellation.

In the year 2022, individuals from various parts of the globe, such as the United Kingdom, made their way to Las Vegas. They had purchased tickets priced between $85 and $12,000 for the initial performance, or even up to $30,000 on the black market, prior to the event.

However, with only 24 hours left, the renowned British artist decided to call off her entire 24-night show schedule, which was expected to generate $685,000 (£500,000) per performance in Las Vegas, breaking previous earning records when including merchandise sales.
