In light of the ongoing controversies surrounding “Strictly Come Dancing,” it seems the BBC is making efforts to celebrate and honor past successes of popular dancer Giovanni Pernice will be featured in reflections for the show’s 20th anniversary special, despite allegations made by former partner, Amanda Holden. It appears that some within Stricty will erase Giovanni from their history due to his impact on the show and public’s choice for Bafta win, which was voted for by viewers.

On a lively note, Tasha Ghouri, Dianne Buswell, and Chris McCausland appeared cheerful on Saturday, making their way to rehearsals prior to the tenth live performance.

26-year-old Tasha, previously known from the popular reality dating series Love Island in 2022, flashed a bright smile for the photographers while bundling up in a cozy blue padded jacket.

She donned a beige hoodie and gym leggings to keep warm against the chill, then wrapped a big, tasseled blue scarf around her neck for added coziness.

To finish off her outfit, she donned a pair of beige anklet socks and bulky white sneakers, carrying her necessities along as she made her way to the studios.

As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but notice Dianne, age 35, standing out boldly in her striking orange and pastel pink padded coat.

Overflowing with excitement, I stood side by side with my dance partner, the ageless Chris, aged 47. I paired a striking dark green ribbed jumpsuit with a daring coat, and completed the look with some eye-catching chunky black ankle boots.

To finish off her style, the expert carried her necessary items in a mini Marc Jacobs leather monogram bucket bag, and allowed her vibrant red hair to cascade naturally as she exited the hotel.

At the same time, Chris too chose a vibrant outfit; he wore a green drawstring hoodie paired with navy blue jogging pants on that day.

The comic donned a white baseball hat with his relaxed outfit, while he dragged his luggage on wheels and also sported a backpack.

In Saturday’s show, the couple’s will take on a brand new challenge – the first-ever samba-thon.

The 20th anniversary edition of Strictly has faced some blemishes, as the program became entangled in a scandal during a year marked by turmoil and disputes.

In the recent past, I found myself reflecting on an incident earlier this year when a notable organization like the BBC overlooked a brewing scandal during their initial launch event, despite the fact that the findings from the misconduct probe were yet to be released.

Back in October, something truly shocking unfolded for me as a devoted fan. Actress Amanda Abbington, who’s 52, took an abrupt leave from her show, and later on, revealed some startling allegations about her partner, Giovanni Pernice, aged 34. She claimed he had been abusive towards her. It left me stunned and saddened, as I had always admired their relationship.

In simpler terms, the actress who portrayed Sherlock Holmes publicly criticized Giovanni’s educational approach, labeling it as unjustified, harsh, uncaring, and malicious. However, Giovanni firmly refutes all these allegations.

While an investigation by the BBC was ongoing, regarding the accusations made by Amanda and two other ex-celebrity associates of Giovanni, he was temporarily suspended.

In September, Amanda felt greatly let down by the managers at BBC due to her concerns that they might be shielding the dancer during the investigation of alleged bullying.

Following Giovanni, the program faced another round of controversy when Graziano Di Prima, aged 30, was dismissed in July over allegations of physically abusing his partner, Love Island celebrity Zara McDermott, who is 27 years old.

Zara explained she didn’t report the incidents at the time as she was ‘scared’ of backlash.

Rather than senior staff members, it was junior production workers who stepped forward to disclose what they observed during the investigation involving dancer Giovanni.

Zara shared with her audience that although being on Strictly was just as wonderful as she had imagined, there were specific instances within the training sessions with Graziano that proved highly upsetting.

According to a recent report by The Mail on Sunday, Giovanni will be appearing on the show’s 20th anniversary special, despite Amanda’s requests for him not to.

It seems quite rare for Amanda to show up, as a source close to Strictly suggests that she was among the 250-odd celebrities who have participated over time, and she chose to withdraw before the conclusion of the event.

The managers strongly requested that Giovanni was given the lead part in the upcoming episode scheduled for December 21st, as he had won a BAFTA for its Must-See Moment – his and deaf actress Rose Ayling-Ellis’s impactful silent dance to Clean Bandit’s Symphony, which took place in 2021.

The moment was seen by more than ten million viewers and received 2.1 million views on YouTube.

It’s possible that his image might open up an opportunity for him to rejoin the show as a dance professional as soon as the following year. However, it should be noted that Amanda reportedly does not support this idea.

According to a source close to the BBC, it would be hard to imagine that Giovanni wouldn’t be part of the 20th anniversary reflections in some way, considering his significant contributions and the public’s appreciation demonstrated by his Bafta win.

“Johnny’s influence on Strictly is enormous and he will undeniably leave a lasting mark in the annals of Strictly Come Dancing.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, let me say that their achievements were nothing short of extraordinary. Regardless of the claims made by Amanda, many of which were ultimately dismissed, it doesn’t diminish the fact that they truly shone.

Strictly’s superiors hold Gio in high regard, they are deeply affected by the recent events, and they believe it is fitting to honor him with celebration.

It’s possible that Amanda had a conversation with the BBC not long ago, as she shared her opinions on Giovanni and the program. However, it seems that Strictly remains fond of Giovanni, and its higher-ups believe the audience will be delighted to witness his return.
