Yellowjackets star Sarah Desjardins upped to series regular for season 3

As a dedicated Yellowjackets fan who has been eagerly waiting for new episodes since the nail-biting cliffhanger of season 2, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the news that Sarah Desjardins, our beloved Callie Sadecki, will be a series regular in season 3! With her promotion to full-time cast member, we can expect even more captivating performances and nail-biting moments from this talented actress.

Exciting updates for fans of the hit series “Yellowjackets”! The actress who portrays Callie Sadecki, Sarah Desjardins, has been upgraded to a main cast member for season 3. This means that viewers can expect more appearances and thrilling antics from Jeff and Shauna’s teenage daughter on the show. Previously, Desjardins had a recurring role in seasons 1 and 2.

This great news comes just days after the announcement of the official release date for Yellowjackets season 3. After a terribly long wait, the highly anticipated third season will land on Paramount+ with its first two episodes on Feb. 14, 2025. However, you’ll only be able to watch the series on the streaming service if you have the Paramount+ with Showtime plan. You also have the option to watch it on Showtime when it has its on-air debut on Feb. 16, 2025.

Unlike season 2, which comprised just nine episodes, season 3 mirrors season 1’s episode count and will offer a total of ten episodes – exciting news indeed! Although specific plot details are being kept under wraps at present, it’s clear that there will be plenty to explore in the third season, given the cliffhanger ending of season 2 where both timelines found themselves in precarious predicaments.

As I sat down for my chat with The Hollywood Reporter back in June of ’24, Yellowjackets’ star Christina Ricci dropped a bombshell: Season 3 is gearing up to be even more jaw-dropping and mind-blowing than the first two seasons. So, fellow gamers, buckle up and brace yourselves for an unforgettable ride!

Besides Ricci, Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Simone Kessell, and Elijah Wood, this season’s ensemble also features Academy award-winner Hilary Swank in a recurring role and Emmy nominee Joel McHale as a guest star.
