Fans furious after huge Wicked spoiler revealed by Andy Cohen live on air before release

Fans of “Wicked” were enraged when a significant spoiler was revealed on-air, a full day prior to the much-anticipated premiere of the stage adaptation.

During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” last Thursday, host Andy Cohen unexpectedly disclosed that his guest, Kristen Chenoweth, had a secret role in a film – a fact that left many viewers pleasantly surprised as they weren’t previously aware of it.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I found myself in an intriguing situation recently, much like the enigmatic character Glinda. Just like her, I was eager to maintain a certain level of mystery, choosing to keep a cameo under wraps. Navigating around the subject with grace, I intentionally made the conversation slightly awkward, not out of discomfort, but to preserve the element of surprise for my audience.

The opening segment of the epic fantasy movie will be released in theaters on November 22nd, featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo portraying Glinda and Elphaba, respectively.

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, fans took to social media to express their frustration. 

One fan tweeted, ‘#WWHL: not @andy spoiling @KChenoweth being in Wicked. She looked like she wanted that to remain a surprise.’

Another wrote, “Yeah… how oblivious is he? Let the opening weekend audience get the surprise first.” 

A different voice joined the conversation, saying, “Absolutely, as I wasn’t aware she was part of it, and they’ve heavily marketed it.” Another critic criticized Cohen, commenting, “Oh, he’s really dense. I can tell she was upset.
