I must say, it seems like Richard Madden is having a fantastic time dipping his toes back into the world of television after his impressive stint in MotherFatherSon. The array of talent and production values on display here are truly astounding, making it hard to deny that TV has come a long way from the days when it was considered less than prestigious compared to film. In fact, it’s now so good that I reckon even the silver screen might be feeling a wee bit jealous!

Jodie Turner-Smith made a glamorous appearance at The Agency premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday.

At the occasion held at The Museum of Modern Art, the 38-year-old actress was accompanied by her fellow performers such as Katherine Waterston (age 44) and Michael Fassbender (age 47).

In the movie, Jodie, who is Fassbender’s previous love interest, captivated the audience in a deep blue gown with a daring neckline, emphasizing her striking chest area and flawlessly accentuating her attractive physique.

The sensational gown was made of semi-sheer velvet material with a floral pattern.

Meanwhile Katherine wowed in a strapless red dress with a dramatic bow over the bust. 

Leading man Fassbender looked dapper as ever in a black turtleneck and dark suit.

Also at the premiere was Richard Gere, 75, who was joined by glamorous wife Alejandra Silva, 41.

The Pretty Woman star looked handsome in a black suit and a white button-up.

Meanwhile Alejandra wore a sparkling gold dress with a mesh top.

At some point, the couple – who have been wed since 2018 – exchanged a tender moment, as Alejandra wrapped her arms around Richard in a loving embrace.

Additionally, Richard was accompanied by his 24-year-old son, Homer James Jigme Gere, a child he shares with his former wife, Carey Lowell, who is now 63 years old.

Veronika Molnar had all eyes on her in a sheer black lace top and tiny black shorts. 

Melissa Tang, 39, rocked an off-shoulder black dress with chunky biker boots.

Ksenia Solo, aged 37, showcased her long-legged style in a black leather skirt coordinated with a jacket and a hat of the same hue.

Jeffrey Wright, 58, looked sharp in a black suit with a black t-shirt underneath.

While on the red carpet Jeffrey also posed with producer David Glasser.

Jeffrey and Richard star as CIA middle managers in the series. 

Jay Manuel, 52, showed off his trendy sense of style in a black jacket and blue jeans.

Layton Lamell was suave in a grey velvet suit, while Alioune Fall cut a stylish figure in a white suit. 

Christopher McDonald, 69, looked elegant in a simple black blazer and pants.

Ronald Peet showed off his unique style in a bright yellow cardigan.

The Agency is based on the highly acclaimed French program The Bureau. 

The production of the show was handled by George Clooney and his partner, Grant Heslov, under their company, Smokehouse Pictures.

The political thriller will trace the story of Fassbender’s character, a secretive CIA operative on Mars, who receives orders to leave his hidden identity behind and connect with Gere’s character, Bosko, in London.

The official synopsis reads: ‘When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites.’

His professional life, true self, and objectives often conflict with his emotions, leading him into a perilous world of global mystery and undercover activities.

Additionally, the series features Harriet Sansom Harris, known for her role as Werewolf By Night, and India Fowler, who has acted in Insomnia.

Regarding the project he’s been involved with, Michael shared with Entertainment Weekly: “This is my first time starring in a TV show, so I have a deep appreciation for the role.

‘It’s a jam-packed schedule, you’ve got to move fast, you’ve got to get things done, but I’m really, really enjoying it.’

This is Richard’s second ongoing TV character following the BBC mini-series MotherFatherSon, a role he earlier indicated might be his final television appearance.

In my childhood days, television wasn’t an attractive option; it was simply not engaged with. The content lacked superiority back then, but today, the quality of programming on TV is comparable to or even surpasses most movie screen presentations, as noted by him.

Today’s screen entertainment seems hardly recognizable compared to traditional television. It has transformed into something entirely new and distinct. Let me confess, it might be inappropriate for me to say this, but the amount of financial resources dedicated to these projects left me astounded. The budgets are truly substantial when it comes to narrating stories.

The Agency will be available to stream on Paramount Plus starting November 29.
