Death in Paradise star’s comedy series gets future confirmed
As a seasoned gamer who’s seen more sitcoms than I care to count, I must say that the news of Austin’s renewal has me all but tickled pink! Being an avid fan of Ben Miller’s work on Death in Paradise, I was thrilled to hear about his new project. The unique premise of a father-son relationship, with a twist of autism and publishing industry drama, has me hooked already.
It’s been confirmed that the fresh comedy starring Ben Miller, who was previously on ‘Death in Paradise’, will continue in the future.
The show chronicles the journey of author Julian (Miller) who discovers his unknown son, Austin (Michael Theo), who is on the autism spectrum, by traveling to Australia to meet him for the first time.
Even though I, as a UK gamer, haven’t had the chance to watch the first season on ITV yet, I’m thrilled to hear that the show’s been greenlit for a second season! The narrative continues, diving into Austin’s journey as his publishing career takes off. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
With increasing recognition from custom travelers, Austin becomes entangled in the influential grasp of his novel agent. To the dismay of his relatives, he starts acting in ways that do not reflect his genuine character.
Simultaneously, a television series adaptation of “Big Bear” is acquired by an Australian production company, which leads Julian, Ingrid (played by Sally Phillips), and Austin on a journey to Canberra. However, their excitement quickly fades when they learn that the production company intends to exclude Julian from the project and rebrand “Big Bear” in a different manner.
Miller, who portrayed Richard Poole on Death in Paradise, commented on the renewal: “Season two is filled with romantic feelings, and since I’m Austin’s father, I can’t wait to see him explore romance. However, let me caution against any 90s-style simultaneous dating. One decade of that was sufficient…
