Silo season 2, episode 2 preview: Unrest grows in Silo 18

Silo season 2, episode 2 preview: Unrest grows in Silo 18

As a binge-watcher who’s been through the apocalyptic wringer with shows like “The Walking Dead” and “Years and Years,” I can confidently say that “Silo” has quickly climbed to the top of my must-watch list. The second episode of this gripping Apple TV+ series left me on the edge of my seat, eagerly awaiting each new development in the mysterious world beyond the silos.

With Juliette now beyond the confines of the silo, those within are curious about the latest developments. This suggests tension may be escalating in the second episode of Silo’s second season.

The premiere episode did not disappoint. It was mostly just Juliette on her own, and Rebecca Ferguson did an outstanding job. We got to see a little of what the world outside is like, and we had a chance to see the world of another, identical silo.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but notice that one act of rebellion has unfolded. In the upcoming episodes, we’ll be introduced to Solo, a character destined for significance. However, it seems we won’t be delving into his backstory just yet in the next episode. Gearing up for Silo‘s second season, we were forewarned that the second installment would unfold within Silo 18.

Unrest is growing in Silo 18 in Silo season 2, episode 2

Instead of providing trailers for each episode separately, Apple TV+ chooses not to do so. This can be disappointing since previews help build anticipation. Yet, they provide a brief summary or synopsis that gives us a good idea of what’s coming up in the next hour of content, keeping our excitement levels high.

“In Silo 18, discomfort takes place when Juliette does something that nobody has ever done before.”

The tension among the residents of Silo 18 escalates as they’ve witnessed an unprecedented feat by Juliette – she reached the tree and scaled the other side of the hill, which no one else has done before. Despite their uncertainty about what lies beyond that hill, they believe there’s a possibility that Juliette might have made it through alive. This glimmer of hope brings renewed spirits to those trapped within the silo.

Additionally, it implies that disturbances may arise. These individuals are realizing they might have been deceived throughout their entire lives. There’s an engaging behind-the-scenes piece on rebellions for Silo season 2, and we do have some snippets from the second episode included in it.

In the heat of a game, I leap onto a table in the viewing room, trying to draw everyone’s attention. I want to highlight something extraordinary Juliette has done – something no one else has managed before. The scene shifts to Bernard, visibly worried. This revelation sparks panic within him, and it’s not just about his own authority; it’s about the potential uprising that could destabilize his silo, and ultimately, the entire silo system. If you’ve read Hugh Howey’s books, you know Bernard’s fears run deeper than personal power. They’re rooted in the unknown – a world hidden from us all, a world we can only guess doesn’t want to be discovered.

Bernard faces a challenge in maintaining control, which won’t come without a struggle. By the second episode, it appears that Knox and his allies are gearing up for conflict, setting the stage for its initiation.

Silo airs Fridays on Apple TV+.
