The two already had daughter Suri Cruise, now 18, who was a part of the wedding.

In 2012, they abruptly parted ways and haven’t appeared together since; neither has mentioned the other in public discussions.

Another source said Suri’s mother was ‘overwhelmed’ at the prospect of Suri being away from home.

They added: ‘Katie takes great pride in her but is also extremely over-protective.’

Tom Cruise is paying Suri’s annual university tuition on $65,000.
