James Corden looks sombre as he arrives for Liam Payne’s funeral after the One Direction star’s tragic death

The loss of a young talent and a fellow artist is always disheartening, but it’s particularly heartbreaking when they’re taken away too soon.
James Corden looked sombre as he arrived for Liam Payne’s funeral on Wednesday afternoon.
On October 16, Liam passed away at the age of 31, following a fall from the third-tier balcony of a hotel situated in Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital city.
Among the numerous celebrities, his dear friend and performer James, aged 46, attended as a tribute, when he was bid farewell during the funeral.
The members of One Direction – Harry Styles, aged 30, Niall Horan, 31, Zayn Malik, 31, and Louis Tomlinson, 32 – were spotted entering a church together, marking their initial gathering since their last concert in 2015. This could be interpreted as them meeting publicly for the first time since their 2015 show.
A church source said a choir and musicians will perform at the service, which began at 1pm.

In the year 2020, Liam made an appearance on The Late Late Show, sharing the stage with Corden. Additionally, he participated in Corden’s Carpool Karaoke session.
The whereabouts of the funeral have been kept under wraps, with the townsfolk discovering it was happening once traffic restriction signs appeared near the church.
Two law enforcement officials monitoring traffic in the area issued citations to any motorists disregarding the roadway warnings.
In September, Payne journeyed to Argentina. There, he attended a performance by his ex-bandmate Niall Horan and caught up with his good friend Roger Nores. Since he wanted to reside in the U.S., he prolonged his trip for visa renewal purposes. Unfortunately, a tragic incident took place during his extended stay.
The entrance to the church where the service takes place is adorned with candle lanterns and clusters of white roses placed among the nearby greenery.

Following the unfortunate demise of Payne, Tomlinson, Malik, Horan, and Styles expressed their profound sadness, stating they were left utterly shattered.
‘In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say,’ they said.
