Married At First Sight’s Gia Fleur reveals she connected with new boyfriend while still with groom Scott McCristal: ‘I kissed him in the toilets’

Gia Fleur, a bride from Married At First Sight, has shared that her relationship with boyfriend Alan Wallace started while she was still participating in the show.

The 36-year-old revealed to Daily Mail that their relationship began during a memorable night out with another bride, Bec Zacharia, in October. This was just before Bec’s marriage to Scott McCristal fell apart.

To be honest, Gia confessed she first contacted Alan because she was trying to find out more about Scott.

I was FaceTiming Alan because he was with Scott’s ex-girlfriend, and I was trying to find out negative information about Scott. Our relationship was falling apart at the time, so I was hoping to get some insight.

I realized he’d dated a former girlfriend of Scott’s, so I became curious about his background. Then I saw him at the gym and thought, ‘Wow, he’s actually really attractive. Who is that guy?’

What started as curiosity quickly turned into something more.

After that, I messaged Alan directly on social media. We were just chatting casually at first, but things developed after I finished filming the show, she explained.

They talked for months before finally meeting at an event, and they instantly connected.

‘Yeah, we met… we were talking for a couple months and then we met at an event,’ she explained.

Okay, so I saw him with her, and honestly, I lost it a little. I couldn’t help but just… track his every move. I was constantly bugging my friends, practically interrogating them: “Where is he? What’s he up to? Who is he even looking at?” It was pathetic, I know, but I just needed to know everything!

Gia said the chemistry was instant and undeniable.

It was instant. As soon as I saw Alan, I was completely surprised – I just felt something undeniable between us. He felt it too, she explained.

The night took a bold turn when Gia decided to make her move.

‘And then later that night I finally grabbed him and kissed him in the toilets, ’cause I was like, no, you need to come with me. And that was it,’ Gia revealed. 

‘Yeah, we’ve been pretty much inseparable since then.’

The couple has strengthened their relationship by moving in together and starting a family life.

I’m so happy to share that we’ve finally moved in together! It feels amazing. Actually, right now, he’s taking my daughter to school, and honestly, he’s just the greatest. I couldn’t ask for a better partner.

Gia denied accusations that her relationship is just for publicity, emphasizing that her feelings are genuine.

I’d go through the whole Married at First Sight experience again just to have met Alan. People are saying it’s all for publicity and that our relationship isn’t real, but he’s truly an incredible person, she said.

We share our lives together, and I spend every night with him. He’s wonderful with my daughter, and my entire family adores him. I also get along really well with his parents and brother.

She described the romance as the healthiest relationship she has ever experienced.

Gia shared that this relationship feels like the healthiest she’s experienced, explaining, ‘I feel safe, and that makes me want to stay.’

He makes me feel secure, loved, and constantly tells me how much he cares – something I’d never experienced before in a relationship.

Reflecting on her failed marriage to Scott, Gia said the difference with Alan is clear.

You know, when I think about what makes a relationship work, compatibility is huge. And with Alan, it just clicks. We have so much in common, it feels really natural and easy. That’s what I’ve realized is the key difference for us.

She added that the relationship has brought out a new version of herself.

She explained that she believes her current partner is seeing a side of her – a better version – that her past relationships, like the one with Scott, didn’t. She feels this is because she’s finally receiving the love and respect she deserves, which is allowing her to treat him well.

This news follows Gia’s recent public reveal of her relationship with Alan, and her surprising confession about her past with Scott.

‘I can’t keep pretending I’m with Scott,’ she added.

‘There’s only so long you can fake something before it starts to eat away at you.’

Gia explained that she and Alan became close after they finished filming, seeing it as a new beginning for her after a tough breakup with her character’s husband.

‘I didn’t go into this looking for anything,’ she explained.

‘But sometimes the right person comes along when you least expect it.’

Gia didn’t specify when their relationship began, but people close to them say they started getting close right after the show finished.

Alan, known from the show Love Triangle, reportedly formed a close connection with Gia because they both understand what it’s like to be on reality TV. Sources say their friendship quickly blossomed into something more romantic.

‘They just clicked straight away,’ one insider said.

‘After everything Gia went through on MAFS, Alan has been a real support for her.’

This outing feels very different from Gia’s difficult relationship with Scott, which fell apart quickly and publicly towards the end of the show.
