Disney opens single rider queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT

As a regular visitor to Walt Disney World, I can honestly say that the addition of the single rider queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has been a game-changer! Being able to bypass the long lines and hop on this delightful ride within minutes is like finding a hidden chefs hat in Chef Remy’s kitchen – pure magic!

At Walt Disney World’s EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure stands out as a favorite among many visitors. However, due to regular interruptions and its limited carrying capacity, it often leads to lengthy queues.

If you don’t arrive at the ride immediately after it opens or reopens following a closure, you can expect to wait for at least 40 minutes. Typically, though, the line will be longer than an hour. In some cases, the wait could even reach 90 minutes.

Disney has set up a special line (called the “single rider queue”) to reduce wait times at attractions. This line can be found on the left side of the attraction entrance and is designed for visitors who are okay with riding by themselves.

While it’s possible for your whole group to line up for a solo ride, keep in mind that it doesn’t ensure everyone rides together. In fact, due to the arrangement of seats, it’s likely that you’ll be separated during the ride.

If you’re venturing out solo or are comfortable going separately from your family, here’s likely the swiftest approach to enjoy “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure” without incurring extra costs through the Lightning Lane.

I’m optimistic that the implementation of a single rider line will effectively reduce wait times since the ride usually has unoccupied seats. By utilizing this system, every single car on the ‘ratmobile’ will be fully occupied.

This implies that families might share a ride with someone unfamiliar, as the ratmobiles offer seating for three or possibly four people in two rows. In case of a family of four, it’s likely they will be seated two per row, with one individual occupying each row.

Fitting three people into one car might feel snug based on each person’s size, but it’s an improvement that could potentially reduce waiting times significantly. Initial reports indicate the ‘Single Rider Line’ takes no more than five minutes, making it a convenient option if you’re pressed for time and don’t mind separating from your group.

It remains undecided whether the solo rider line is a long-term change or if Disney is offering it exclusively during the bustling holiday period.
