Inside I’m A Celeb star Tulisa’s tattoos and their meanings from controversial ‘Female Boss’ inking which sparked Ofcom complaints to ‘secret’ saucy designs and heartbreaking tributes
As I delve into the life of Tulisa Contostavlos, I am struck by the resilience and strength that shines through her story. Despite facing unimaginable challenges, she has not only survived but thrived, transforming her pain into wisdom and knowledge.
On the premiere of I’m A Celebrity on Sunday, Tulisa proudly displayed her well-known “The Female Boss” tattoo during the opening sequence.
Tulisa Contostavlos, aged 36, who was once known for her distinctive arm tattoo, has not halted her journey of getting further tattoos.
In the year 2011, Tulisa, who was serving as a judge on The X Factor, faced allegations that she unlawfully endorsed her self-titled perfume by deliberately showing her forearm during the initial segment of the ITV talent contest.
She explained the significance of her tattoo to The Mirror previously, stating, ‘I had been flaunting my tattoo even before The X Factor. It has always represented me, serving as both a personal brand and a nickname.’
The fragrance isn’t officially named “The Female Boss”; instead, it goes by the abbreviation TFB. Therefore, people can’t walk into a store to purchase my perfume based solely on recognizing my tattoo design.
In the year 2013, Tulisa unveiled an intriguing tattoo that many found quite alluring, a full year after she hinted at having a hidden ink design on her body.
During a sun-soaked trip to Marbella she slipped into a tiny white two-piece to display the worlds ‘Lucky You’ her bikini line.
The message features an image of a four-leaf clover, similar to that used by the popular American denim brand Lucky Brands, whose products for men often bear the phrase “Lucky You” along with a clover design on the waistband.
Apart from the other ink on her arm, Tulisa pays homage to her deceased uncle Byron Contostavlos, the father of her bandmate and cousin Dappy, with a tattoo as well. He tragically passed away in 2007.
As a tribute to the family member who kick-started her music journey, this showcases a microphone and musical symbols accompanied by the message: ‘Rest in Peace Uncle B N Dubz, forever remembered.’
As I walk this path, a majestic unicorn graces my right shoulder – a symbol of my resilience. Beneath it, the words echo softly on my back: ‘I am strong even in weakness, courageous in fear, and humble in victory.’ These are not just words, but the mantra I live by, embodying strength, bravery, and humility as a lifestyle choice.
Last year Tulisa debuted a large and very bold ‘Lone wolf’ tattoo on the back of her neck
She captioned her post as follows: ‘The Lone Wolf… I’ve got eyes in the back of my head #LittleSwimAndChills #NewTattooFor2023 #ItsAMood.’
Fans of “I’m A Celebrity” got excited on Sunday, as Tulisa displayed her tattoo titled “The Female Boss” by raising her arm during the opening credits.
As I watched Tulisas performance, I couldn’t help but exclaim: “I’m totally smitten with her iconic ‘female boss’ pose #ImACeleb” or
Tulisa is returning to TV screens as she joins the cast of I’m A Celebrity this year, and she commented: “There’s nothing more unpleasant in the jungle than what occurred back in 2013.
Journalist Mazher Mahmood, who is also recognized as “The Fake Sheik,” served a 15-month prison sentence due to manipulating the legal system. This was because he deceived Tulisa into purchasing cocaine on his behalf, all while pretending to be a movie producer.
As a lifestyle expert, I might rephrase it like this: After clearing my name at Southwark Crown Court in 2014, I’ve mostly stayed away from the limelight, with only a brief return to the stage for an N-Dubz tour in 2022. The ‘horrific entrapment’ by Mahmood was strongly condemned by me.
Regarding her participation in the I’m a Celebrity jungle, she expressed: “Whenever I doubt if this will be tough, I remind myself that I’ve already faced challenges, and I know I can handle it.
Later on, I found myself straight to the heart of the matter. To be honest, stepping back into the spotlight on TV is undeniably an awkward predicament for me.
For the last eleven years, it seems like I’ve been moving through a continuous process of healing, starting from the events like X Factor, the trial, and everything else that followed.
For me, achieving this would mark the end of my cycle, as it’s the final item on my list – a persistent anxiety I’ve harbored, though not presently felt, particularly about appearing on television.
In May 2013, Mahmood was charged because it was alleged that Tulisa had set up a deal for him to buy £800 worth of cocaine from one of her associates, which was part of an undercover operation carried out by the Sun on Sunday newspaper.
At the Metropolitan Hotel in London, under the guise of a movie producer, Mahmood socialized with the popstar over drinks while discussing a potential acting part that would pair them with the esteemed actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
While driving an ex-judge from The X Factor back to Hertfordshire, it was reportedly mentioned that one of their relatives struggled with substance abuse issues.
For Tulisa, the subsequent decade was a period of immense hardship, as her promising future took a drastic turn due to the painful consequences she faced.
Speaking about the ordeal, the I Need You singer said: ‘Honestly, I can’t tell you.
Absolutely, there have been difficult periods over the last decade, but my current outlook is different. Now, I view those experiences as sources of knowledge instead.
As an ardent enthusiast, I can confidently say that knowledge truly holds the key to success. It has been my steadfast companion on this journey of life, leading me to where I stand today. I wouldn’t trade a single bit of it for anything else. Knowledge, in its essence, is not just power, but a profound blessing that shapes our lives and guides us towards our dreams.
As a devoted follower, I can honestly say that I wouldn’t have managed this task if I hadn’t been in such a profoundly content state of mind. Thus, it seems that the timing was perfect – it couldn’t have happened earlier.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues Monday at 9pm on ITV1, STV and ITVX
