Wayne Rooney shares rare romantic post as he wishes wife Coleen good luck in I’m A Celeb – after she shared insight into their marriage in camp and admitted ‘it wasn’t love at first sight’
As a mother of four, Coleen Rooney’s decision to join I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! must have been a tough one, given her deep bond with her sons. Having spent most of her life as a wife and mother, stepping into the jungle for three weeks means leaving her family behind for an extended period, a first in her parenting journey.
On Sunday, Wayne Rooney posted a heartfelt message to cheer on his wife, Coleen, as she entered “I’m A Celebrity” for the first time. This special tribute was not common from him.
The retired soccer player, aged 39, shared a heartwarming photo on Instagram featuring himself, his partner, and their four boys – Kai (13), Klay (10), Kit (7), and six-year-old Cass.
In a different snapshot, the wife (or partner) aged 38, smiled brightly as she showcased her jungle-themed hat, preparing for the trip as she prepared to depart for the rainforest.
He titled the post: ‘Best of luck to our mom, venturing into the jungle for @imacelebrity! We’re already feeling your absence but can hardly wait to watch your trial performances and for everyone to get a glimpse of who you truly are. You’re the best! We adore you.’
In a matter of hours after reaching the camp, Colleen disclosed that Wayne had been persistent in courting her, as she shared insights into their married life.
Over the course of their 16-year union, her marriage with Wayne, who she encountered as a fellow 12-year-old in Liverpool, has faced several controversies that made headlines.
In 2008, the wife of the well-known footballer shared that she didn’t experience love immediately upon their initial encounter with Wayne.
At the campfire, Coleen engaged in conversation with GK Barry, Oti Mabuse, and Jane Moore.
Oti asked: ‘And it was love at first sight?’
Coleen replied: ‘No it was for him, not for me. He fought to get me, yeah.
‘I waited until I’d done my GCSEs and then I went on a date. I was pretty good at school.’
On discussing their initial date at the movie theater more deeply, she confessed that they shared a kiss near the church prior.
In a separate clip posted on her Instagram account, Colleen and Wayne’s sons expressed their well wishes for her, individually.
In simpler terms, the youngest, Cass, put on appropriate attire which included a crown and boxing gloves, while expressing goodwill towards Colleen for her upcoming BushTucker Trials, hoping she collects many stars.
Meanwhile his brother’s admitted they were already missing her, before eldest Kai told his mum to ‘be herself’ and promised ‘everyone would be watching’.

After Coleen shared that not all of her sons were planning to fly to Australia to meet her upon her departure from the jungle, she mentioned to The Mirror: “My two youngest boys will be joining me.
As a die-hard fan, I’m always on the edge of my seat when it comes to their decisions. While everyone else had the chance to join, the two elders chose to remain at home, balancing their education and football commitments.
It appears I mentioned earlier that you should bring your work along when you visit, and they found out about some soccer games they wouldn’t want to miss. This led to a swift change of plans! Additionally, they aren’t certain when they’ll have the chance to meet up with me.

ITV is reportedly interested in involving the WAGs (Wives And Girlfriends) in one of their daytime programs similar to Loose Women.
According to the Sun, there may be possibilities for her to star in additional programs, including a possible reboot of her 2008 series titled “Coleen’s Real Women.
The series focused on Colleen, as she was tasked with discovering authentic beauty in women to represent prominent companies as their spokesmodels.
Besides her TV commitments, it’s said that Colleen might also launch a swimsuit collection, in addition to the estimated £1.5 million she’s earning from her Jungle appearance.

Jane, currently appearing on “Loose Women,” is also participating in the “Jungle.” As such, it’s said that Colleen plans to discuss “Loose Women” with her when she’s in the same place.
